Bridgestone RE71RS
hi - my dealer ran out of my favourite rear tires in standard M2 size (265/35R19).
Has anyone used the Bridgestone RE71RS in the next size up (275/35R19)? I can get the 275 ones on my BBS FI-R wheels but am concerned about the tires rubbing the fender. Any experiences with this tire and size would be greatly appreciated! Thanks |

2. I haven't seen the exact specs for the RS, but the R was a wide-running tire for sure. 3. With the suspension dropped to a bit below BMW's recommended specs, the 255/35 & 275/35 fit the FI-R's like a glove with minimal inside rubbing on the inside front at full lock, and no rubbing on the outside. Quote:
245/35 & 265/35 are the recommended size on stock wheels. 255/35 & 275/35 is the most common upgrade on stock wheels. Apart from a drag vehicle, it would not be recommended to run 255/285. To maintain the balance of the car you'd want to keep roughly 20mm between the front and the rear tires. |

Are using a mudflap behind the front wheels? Do you plan on being at MX1 again this year (I looked over your car and especially those wheels last year)?

I'm looking at getting some tyres for track use, I can either go up to a 9.5/10.5 wheel which I think should still fit stock suspension with a 255/275? Either that or I just get stock width wheels...hmmm |

Stop it, you're making me moist.
They look and fit fantastic, and I'm sure they will perform even better. Wish we could get them here in the USA. |

And yes, the 255/35 & 275/35 on 9.5 & 10.5 fits great, even with the wider running tires like the 71R, AD08R, 888R, etc (if you're dropped a bit more, or have a bit more negative camber). |

They're listed at TireRack finally. TireRack also has a test report comparing them to the RE-71R.
