Seattle Dealer Recommendations

After a lifetime of solely owning Japanese makes, I've decided to take the plunge on a M2 Competition for my next vehicle.

Which dealers (and/or salesman) do you guys recommend I look into?

I understand the M2 is still highly sought after and will most likely require ordering one as opposed to finding them sitting on dealer lots.

I had my heart set on the new Supra this fall, but that plan went out the window after the reveal.

I can't answer the question on the dealer, but I'm curious, what didn't you like about the new Supra?

I use Rick at BMW Seattle. There is a waiting list for the M2C.

Bellevue BMW has the worst reputation among the three local dealers.

Thanks for the recommendations. I did hear from coworkers that Bellevue has a spotty reputation.

I understand each dealer has a limited number of allocations for the M2? Hoping it's not going to take a year to get one.

@orangeglim - A couple of reasons. 1) No manual transmission and 2) the styling is atrocious. I feared that Toyota would bring their overwrought styling to the Supra. And they did. So that made the M2 my new top choice on the list.

When I bought mine from BMW NW they said I was the 4th person they had delivered an M2C too. Seattle's wait list was about 1 yr when I checked 2 months ago, and BMW NW was ~5 months, FYI.

I hear Kevin at BMW NW is great to work with if you go that route. From what I was told at NW, only Seattle and NW are //M certified dealers. Gl, the car is worth the wait!

Marta at BMW Seattle sold me my M2 and my M3. She's great, super nice, knows her cars, and no BS.

I'll be seeing her for a new wifemobile soon-ish.

Thanks all for the info. I'll give both Seattle and Northwest a ring and see what happens.

Hope to be joining the M2 family soon.

I would put your name on the waiting list at both dealers. Buy from the one that gives you a production date first.

Good luck.

I know it might be a stupid question. Does getting into a wait list require deposit to be placed?

Usually no. But if one is required, it is fully refundable under Washington law.

*Update*

This past weekend I got a call from my SA at BMW Seattle, letting me know they have an open build slot for me. This was very unexpected... but I'm not complaining. It took all of 6 weeks from putting my name on the list to order being placed.

I had planned for a fall delivery but now I might just have a car by the end of June.

I just wanted everyone to know that if you’re interested in a M2 Competition, it might be worth your time to contact BMW Seattle.

By the way when service comes around - Dylan is awesome. He's taken good care of me on break-in, first oil change, and some issues with my MPE rattling.

Thanks. I'm working with Rick per DanG's recommendation.

@Poffman - Good to know. Thanks for the heads up.

By the way, if anyone here knows, how does one go about finding your build date/week? I logged onto the MyBMW site and it shows as "Scheduled For Production" but no additional information as to when.

Poffman was suggesting a service advisor. Rick is in sales. I use Alex Lomg for service.

So you can specific a service advisor when going in for service?

I used to work on my car when I need to do maintenance so do have much experience with dealer service
