So I’ve heard from a dealer principle today that it’s happening...and coming/going to America first
Which is good as I can see how good it is before confirming an order Needless to say once I heard that, my deposit was handed over to the sales exec 😂 |

At least you only just had money change hands. I put down a deposit in 2016. I believe it will be worth it.

Which variant were they "confirming"? CS or CSL?

I tried to push the sales exec to find out more from her boss but she was having none of it, trying to piece it together with other rumours where it mentioned America getting CS and rest of us getting CSL but I can’t imagine they’d spend the cash developing two variants

Yeah somehow I’m only second in line at the dealership given some have put money down years ago,but even if it does happen there’s obv no guarantee that the guy/girl first in line will be allocated one at that dealership

Registered my interest with them ages agp but never put any deposit down unlike two other dealers. Pulled my deposits now anyway. Lost interest. |

I’m only interested in a CSL, don’t think a CS will be special enough to warrant the extra cost/depreciation that it’s likely to suffer... |

Wish I could afford the CSL but know that not only will it be too expensive, it won't be comfortable enough to be a daily drive. And I can't run two. I was wondering that about an M2 CS too after driving the M4 CS recently. Seats a little too snug for 150 miles trips. Sticking with mine now until next gen M2 or possible G8x M3/M4. |

But agree with everyone else, far too overpriced without discount. The values for used at the moment look much better i.e. <£70k and people are starting to get nice i.e 15% discounts but still too much to start with. |

I'd say most are after a CSL for the rarity. And there perhaps dare I say it a few speculators after an investment/quick profit.

The M4 CS didn’t feel special at all, I liked the M2 Comp much more. Made me wonder if any changes to the M2 to CS spec would be worth it as I’m not sure I’d be able to feel any difference |

She said end of 2019/beginning of 2020, didn’t say if that was America or U.K. but did say it was going to you guys first.
Obviously I’m not taking their words as gospel as they’re hopefully going to want to keep us entertained incase we get bored and go elsewhere but according to the dealer principal it is happening... |

And that we’d know a CSL M2 when we saw it, after the recent new M2 (CS) photos and videos were published. I think it is unlikely we will see a CSL M2 in this generation of car. I think a CSL M2 will have a big GTS style wing and a roll cage. IMHO I think this is a shame. I’d like to see a car more like the E46 CSL Raw but subtle keeping the four seats |

I am sure it will happen. I am more curious about the specs. If it is basically the m2c with all the cf goddies (trunk lid, fenders, hood) i couldnt care less about a CS/gts

I'm hoping that the M2 CS can shave 150 lbs off the M2 Comp and get down to 3,450 pounds. I would think that is reasonable. The S55 engine at around 425 hp and 3,450 pounds would be a good combo. The fact that the M2 Comp weighs more than the original was a big disappointment.
Plus I agree with DM Boone, as this could be the last DCT car. I like DCT in the original M2 and would be sad to see it go. |

Since they made all the CF M performance parts already, I think the CS will be most/all of those (also installed at the factory) and maybe ~10% more power. I would guess the next gen M2 will have a better chance to see a CSL.
