Not yet, but I'm sure that could happen.

I like that the radio stays on after you turn the car off - it's nice to finish a good song when you're unloading the groceries.

Plus, all you have to do is lock the car to turn it off...

I agree, but I dont lock the car in my garage. It stays on and Apple car play stays active.

Love how the M Drive configuration settings panel still shows a 228i. Never understood why they didn't fix this in the LCI

YES it's annoying actually. I want to get like something to put on the seat that holds the seatbelt there.

Lovely car, OP. The orange stitching really sets it off. Looking forward to seeing the car with mods and hearing your future impressions.

For the seat belt comments above: Once seated, try reaching backwards for the seat belt near your waist rather than over your shoulder. Should make things a lot easier.

Does the M2C feel as special as an E92 M3? I'm trying to figure out if I should sell my M3 and get a F87.

My biggest gripe about the car is trying to reach for the belt. Cannot find any aftermarket fix for this. Since it is a fixed headrest cannot use the seat belt holder thingies that are sold. If anyone figured out a solution they will make some decent money.

3) Open the car door. The radio then shuts off automatically.
What I do actually is after I shut off the car I always turn off the air and mute the volume on the radio. I like turning the car on in silence then I raise volume as I'm driving off. Little nuances I know...

It reminds me a lot of my e92 m3. Great performance and just the right amount of tech. Both are up for the task of being garage queens or daily driven.

True,
Guess I have to test drive one when the dealer gets in and decide

Also much, much quicker. Especially up here at 5,400 ft MSL where forced induction motors shine.

Quick question, when using the app to code the ASD and radio off does it save the settings or is this something you have to do after each startup? assuming your using a blue tooth OBD reader with the app.

Thanks so much for posting! This is an excellent and informative review.

I particularly like this paragraph. EXACTLY!

"Conclusion:
The BMW M2 Competition is the evolution of the OG M2. Just as the next gen M2 will be the evolution of the previous (aka M2C). This is just how it works. If you have an M2C or M2, be proud that you drive one of the best BMW's even made! I often remind myself of how fortunate I am to be able to afford one of these machines. I humbly suggest the next time you are ready to argue to the death about (MT vs DCT) or (N55 vs S55) that you step back and realize how many people on this planet will never even own a BMW."

We're all lucky and fortunate to be BMW owners. And it's great to see BMW getting back into the business of building drivers cars!
