Congratulations! I recently got back from my European Delivery. I did 2600 kilometres in 17 days so I can't imagine doing it in 7 days. My favourite part was driving the Grossglockner the views were stunning. Can't wait to read about the rest of your trip!

I agree with you ... one would think that a hardcore version would come -without- a sunroof but hey .. this really isn't that hardcore a car now is it ? It's a daily driver with many creature comforts including power seats.
The "M motor" was due to the N55 not being able to pass new environmental standards, not customer demand.

Also wish we could order the M2 without the power seats as you mention.

I tend to agree. Above 3400 lbs, 30-40lbs isn't going to make that much of a difference unless you are after 10ths of a second at your local track.

However where it will make a difference for some is the ability to wear a helmet as these seats don't go all that too low and the moonroof does eat into headroom up top.

Congrats on the car OP!

I had a feeling the "black" wheels were going to look like the "black" 666m wheels with just a tint and the bicolor ones were going to look like the bicolor 719m wheels.

Congratulations!! Gorgeous car and amazing sounding itinerary!

I really ought to get organized enough to do a European delivery before it's too late!

Congrats! I love that color and the think the wheels are PERFECT! I was never a fan of black wheels on a light car... not my thing. You can't see the details of the wheel! These wheels, however, are just the right combo. Drive safe and enjoy!!

Saw the M2 Competition yesterday and this color is really gorgeous! I also thought 'boring' but wrong.....really nice. And those wheels with those brake calipers are absolutely beautiful. The one I saw had the black leather with blue stitching and perforation highlights.....also very good looking. And I really like the carbon fiber treat on the interior. And the exhaust note is really nice (and like any good orchestra, you do need warm it up before expecting those good tunes). Bravo BMW - excellent job on this M2 Competition.

Benjamin, the wonderful guide I had, told me this is the first Euro Delivery they've done there of the M2 Competition!

I was really worried about ordering a silver colour, sight unseen, as I find silver is the most boring colour you can get on a car. But this colour is gorgeous! Hints of grey outside of the sunlight, which is beautiful.

I've seen tons of pics posted lately, so I'll post just a few and confirm one thing that I was surprised to see. I ordered the car with Black 788M wheels (option code 29U), and thought at first they had given me the regular wheels that are bi-colour, as I expected them to be all black, like the 666M wheels. But they are not black. Their face is a tinted gunmetal grey as you'll see from my photos below. The face of the regular bi-colour wheels is regular bright silver. That's the only difference I can tell. The photos you've seen of them in the ordering guides are actually accurate!

The pics are taken at the Welt, other than the third and second to last, which were outside the Welt, so you get an idea of the car and wheel colours in the sun, and the last one, parked in the garage.

I'll be starting my trip tomorrow, so I'll get to post driving impressions after. For now, I just drove in heavy traffic back to the hotel, but can confirm the brakes are really powerful! Only thing I wish is that the exhaust was louder, with more burbles, like the M4 Competition Pack, but that's fixable.

For those who are curious, my itinerary, which is a bit ambitious, is about 2000 KM driving in 7 days. Munich to Austria via Grossglockner pass (to go see Bayern Munich play Paris St Germaine - not bad ), then to west to Italy to drive the Stelvio pass, then north to see the Neuschwanstein castle, then up to Stuttgart for the Porsche Museum via the German alps, then up to the Ring for 2 days via the Black Forest road, and back down to Munich, cuz I gotta hit the Autobahn seriously by that point, after having done the Alps in 3 countries.
.
.
.
Congrats 2000 km in 2 days is achievable. I hope you did not get manual. DCT only.

Really nice and congrats.

Are those the upgraded 6 piston brakes? If so, are they optional or stock?
