I got one of the last ZL1-1LE allocations in SoCal with a written msrp guarantee. I've never owned a GM product, but had two 2002 Tii's, an E30 M3, sold for peanuts in '91, and ride a BMW RT-P 1200 daily.

650 BHP, 1.10 g , blah blah seemed so incredible. My friends keep sending me ZL1-1LE links, I think just to upset me. Did I make the right call ? M2- dct, lbb, exec, drivers pack. Otherwise stock.

I wouldn't daily it, so if you are goodluck. If it's a weekend or track toy then solid choice.

Camaro, no matter how fast or expensive, would ever be on my list

Depends what your planned usage is. It's supposed to be a stiff track-focused car like the M4 GTS.

I would love to own the Camaro.
Seems to be a very impressive but also different machine than the M2.

If I had the opportunity I think I would go for the Camaro. I love my M2 but the 1le must be in another league in terms of performance.
I have never driven one so just basing it on reviews.

Got my deposit back. I felt bad this SoCal Chevy dealer treated me so good. I'm very happy with the M2 on the other hand and wifey did not require me to use all the down payment I saved, so I got some FU money in the bank for other stuff I don't need.

If you're a track junky that Camaro would be the better car, but for street use with track time abilities, the M2 is a different kind of fun and certainly the nicer car. Also, who can use 650 HP on a regular basis? I personally have more interest in the SS 1LE than the ZL1. You're saving a ton of coin with the SS 1LE or M2 as well. If you're enjoying the M2, tell your friends to go buy their own ZL1 as you know where they can get it for MSRP, and don't second guess your decision.

ZL1 1LE has way more performance but it's still a crusty Camaro

You're part of the BMW family already. Good choice on the M2 based on your past care, smaller car, better DD and this car should be more than adequate for your needs. Enjoy!

The GM dealer won't have any issue selling the car you declined. Someone will be happy... you did someone a favor without the wait. No guilt or remorse required.
