I have just bought an M2 LCI with H&R installed on them (20-30mm). I asked them to change it back to the original springs next week, I live in Sweden and I am planning to use the car in winter, thought it would be fun. I need the ride hight for that..
Anyhow, I got to use the M2 with the H&R suspension, I and I must say I am so impressed with how sporty the car feels with the lowered center of gravity, I think you notice that. The ride is not harsh or worse, but you need to take bigger bumps in slower speeds, but somehow it fells better on highway on bigger bumps, the car is not floating or taking "second correction". I tried to find every bump in my city to check if it scrapes underneath but no.. I did thought took really slow and took an angle some times. Hopes this help, I am also interested in what others think about this? Spec daily driving? Winter? Am I the only one doing it wrong? |

After a few track days last year, I can report the car doesn't rub and feels very planted. I would recommend the H&R for the M2. You can definitely feel the lower COG compared to an M2 with stock springs.

I might get these springs. For those with spacers, do all sizes require NEW (longer) LUGS?

I chose to run a wheel stud kit. It makes changing the wheels much easier and you don't have to maintain different sets of lug bolts based on your spacers sizes.

Who has installed lower springs themselves ? How hard is it ? Can you drop the front spring without a spring compressor? Just unbolt center bolt and lower a-arm down with jack ?? Back looks pretty straight forward and easy

The good news is that you don't need to remove the front shock from the steering hub which is often PITA. You can just lean the strut out of the wheel arch. The rears are a breeze just make sure you don't screw up your camber adjustment bolt by trying to loosen it on the wrong end Feel free to PM me for more info. |

Just ordered HR lowering sorings
I literally just ordered these from turner. They say .8mm drop I am just worried that I may have some rubbing or bottoming out as I am running 10 and 12 mm spacers. Anyone have any input?

Thank you! A lot of ppl who track their M2 get negative camber plates I think. I will think about getting them but for now will wait to see if I rub at all. It would make more sense financially I think to just swap out my spacers for smaller ones if I don't track the car much but am concerned about rubbing!

I've gone with a full Ohlins coiler setup so the H+R's are surplus to requirements. They are great springs and the car sat amazingly on them. |
