Anyone running a 285/30/18 square setup?
Gang, looking to jump on the front Essex BBK, Apex EC-7 18x10's E35 w/285/30/18 BFG R1's.
I've always had a sq track/auto X setup. Lots of positive reasons for it... With that said, anyone else running 285's square on their M2's?

I'm running 265 35 18 with the same wheels. I have 2.4 degrees of camber and 12mm spacers. It barely clears in the front. I am lowered about 0.8" |

I’m running apex ec7 18x10’s et 35 square with 285/30 re71r’s for autocross. Just needed a 10mm spacer in front and the longer lugs. Stock height, stock Springs’s/shocks, tckline plates camber is -2 with 0 toe. Same settings front and rear. I will try -2.75 this summer on front camber. No rubbing at all and looks perfect. Way better autocross times with this set up versus stock, instant 2-3 seconds faster on a 45 second autocross.

Yes this tire is short. But I’m dct, run most of the courses in 2nd (occasionally can hit limiter) and only on faster courses do I need 3rd for a bit. Broad torque band makes it pretty easy. Manual guys I can see this as more a pain as you would lose time in shifting. I do know one guy running a 295/30 on a 19, he has a manual and stays in 2nd with that tall tire.

I am similar. I have 2 sets of 18 wheels, Bimmerworld and TR. Lowered on MCS with negative 3.2...I have tried over a dozen different tires, sizes, and spacers. The 265/35/18 set up with 10mm front spacers is the sweet spot. I have run a 275/35/18 up front but it takes a 15 mm and that causes the tire to rub on the outside on track.
