Got my new shoes installed to day along with Ground Control camber plates. Still have to get an alignment done.
Thanks to Tyler at Hardy Vehicle Designs in Tempe, AZ for helping get the camber plates installed. Apex EC-7 in silver with Toyo R888R (265 & 295 R19) on 2020 M2 Competition. Speaking of alignment, can I get some specs on toe? Already planning on camber settings of Front: -2.8 degrees / Rear: -1.8 degrees

Looks sharp, 2PUTT!
You clearly have some drop in the car. Did you add any camber? I'm not planning to do either of those things. Thanks!

If I went 265 front, 275 rear, would the fronts rub? Anyone tried this yet?
<edit> I'm just now seeing all the updates to Apex's first post... looks like I'll go 255/275 RE71R. Thanks all!

Looks nice - thanks for sharing. It's interesting how the "flanges" on the outside perimeter of the Apex wheels make them look smaller than the OEM wheels.

Thanks! I usually don't mess with center caps on track wheels - just something to loose.

Front tire sizes known to clear without rubbing on our 19x9.5" ET28: 245/35-19 255/35-19 265/30-19 As mentioned, switching to a more track-oriented tire will make a drastic improvement for you in terms of reducing understeer, although camber plates are ultimately the correct way to go about solving this. They'll pay for themselves in terms of reduced tire wear after only a handful of events, and are essentially required for anyone doing more than 3-5 track events/HPDEs per year. --Dylan

Yes. Car is lowered on M Performance coilovers. I am scheduled for an alignment on Friday. No camber added (yet). My 135is had some slight camber (-2) just to help with the track sessions.

Toe in. It gets loosy goosy (tramline all over the place) if you do any toe out on the street (I tried it and actually had my stability control light blinking trying to go straight ). Even zero toe I hear is pretty unstable on street.

I'm still waiting on mine. I joined the group buy late. I do have some concerns now though. Currently I'm running M Performance coilovers, camber plates (-2.5f, -2.0r), and only moderately dropped. I'm also running a 255 up front and 285 in back RE-71 setup.
Here's my concern, the rear (where more contact patch really affects getting power down coming out of corners) needs to be a size smaller at 275 per Apex. I realize the fronts increase, but I feel like my turn-in is great and it already provides adequate traction as-is. I know that the Toyo option can be larger, but don't most of you feel that the difference in performance from the actual tire becomes a wash between the RE-71 and R888R? Plus a user mentioned before that he was experiencing issues with his MP coilovers? |

Pretty much Re71 is your only real 200tw cost effective option at the moment. That said, only the 305 has a 30 profile tire - everything else of use is 35 sidewall.
