4 Point Roll bar and rear seat delete for M2 by Competition Motorsport
Introducing the Competition Motorsport CMS Performance four-point roll bar and rear seat delete for the F87 M2! We are excited to unveil our latest roll bar on Bimmerpost.
CMS began designing performance and safety solutions for Porsches, and now we've applied all of that knowledge and expertise to BMW. Our first project is the M2 / M2 PE, and our first product is the bolt-in roll bar and accompanying rear-seat delete. The CMS four point roll bar is custom manufactured for the the F87 M2 using 1.75" x 0.120-wall 4130 chromoly steel for driver safety, structural integrity, and chassis stiffness. (The CMS roll bar construction meets or exceeds all requirements for NASA Time Trials.) We use factory-reinforced mounting points to allow for full seat travel while correctly positioning the harness cross-bar (height and distance to driver). The CMS rollbar weighs 47 lbs and comes with full installation instructions for a DIY install (if you're so inclined). We apply premium powder coat to each roll bar in whatever color you choose -- over 5,000 to choose from. The roll bar pictured was finished in Alpine White powder coat. We don't charge extra for powder or for shipping or, really, for anything. We developed a beautifully-upholstered rear set delete option to replace the factory rear seats. Covered in color-matched carpeting, premium vinyl and finished with light-blue French stitching, it is a dead-ringer for a factory look. The rear seat delete saves 47 pounds of weight compared to the OEM rear seat, and is completely reversible if you need to re-install the OEM seats. Give us a call at (844) 438-7244 or PM us for more details! Last edited by CompetitionMotorsport; 08-27-2018 at 01:17 PM.. |

The CMS Performance roll bar for the M2 is normally priced at $2,495, powder coated to your spec and shipped. The rear seat delete kit is normally $1,495. To celebrate our sponsorship of Bimmerpost, we are offering the combined package for a limited time for $3,090 (yep, powdered and shipped). A savings of $1,000! Give us a call at (844) 438-7244 or PM us and let us know how we can help you!

Thanks, Del! We've had great luck with the M2 roll bar/seat delete kit so far. As track season winds down and fall approaches, it's a great time to do the install for your M2 or M2 PE! Give us a call at (844) 438-7244 or PM us for special Bimmerpost-only pricing.

I am looking at the rear seat delete without the cage. I drive to the track with my slicks in the back seat and the cage prevents that....however I still use the Schroth 4 point belts so I still need easy access to the rear seat belts....is that possible. Also, does it still fold down to give trunk access.Better pictures of the rear seat delete alone would be appreciated.

We have used the RSD to ferry tires to/from the track with the roll bar installed by simply going through the trunk. Sort of the best of both worlds and allows the harnesses to be attached to the roll bar which is much safer from the standpoint of shoulder strap angle to the driver. There's also space beneath the RSD bottom to store smaller stuff. Thanks again! |

We've sold a few without the seat delete, though, so as with anything, the customer is always right. And it saves about $1,000...! |
