Yeah when I traded in my M235 the seller is like "Here you go, new keys".

I am like "You mean those who look exacly like these?" and I hold up my M235 keys.

They put M2 badges all over the car in the tackiest way possible but cant do anything to the keyfob :/

about 6 weeks ago, i sold my daily beater. finally brought home the latest addition to the stable.

2011 VW Touareg TDI
My wife and I have never liked beige interior nor wood trim. The vehicle was overall nice and it was pretty hard to beat the price and the additional factory warranty included due to the infamous "dieselgate". Now, I unofficially have a tow vehicle. This thing can tow 7700 lbs.

Will require some TLC as far as swirls. I will have to save that project for spring time.

Thumbs up Winter to Summer Mode

Well, that was a mild winter. The temps have been consistently warmer now so it was time to do the winter mode >> summer mode swap.

Winter Mode (255/275 Combo)

Nanolex SiSplash

So, I was a little bored last night. I decided to try some of the new products I purchased from DetailersDomain.

This Nanolex SiSplash is pretty impressive. I simply applied with with a MF and wiped it off. From what I was told, you can apply this on the car while it is still wet from the final rinse or dry like I did while it was in the garage. The dry application did not take too long. It was a quick spray wipe on then off.

So initial impression is !!

Anyone else try this yet??

glad you like the product, I find this to be one of the best products on the market to boost your coating, protect the paint, add gloss, give nice beading, adds a slick touch and can be used wet or dry! amazing!

How you liking the TDI? I picked up a 2014 TDI R-Line last July and have enjoyed every minute of using it for daily driver duty. I call it my cheap Cayenne

I've always loved this V6 TDI. We had a 2009 Q7 TDI and logged lots of miles on it until they offered us the very generous buyback due to dieselgate.

You have the Gen2 engine. How do you like it? I do not think there was a true fix for either V6 TDIs. I have read that the EPA just forced VW to buy back 85% of the Audi/VW/Porsche TDIs or be penalized heavily per vehicle if they do not meet that number. This is probably the reason why they were very generous with the offers.

I stumbled upon this one while shopping for a Jettasportwagen. I have since mounted Audi Q7 21" wheels with summer tires. I have done a good baseline by doing the fuel filter, fluid updates for the transfer case, rear diff, and front diff. I also did the transmission service (fluid/filter).

The V6 TDI is beastly. And that's correct, I believe mine was also a part of the buy back. I purchased it CPO'd with a 2 year warranty due the TDI issues.

I'm in the process of adding a Malone Tuning Stg 2 tune. Love the wheels! I've been looking for a set, I always loved the look of those wheels back when they showed up on the B7 RS4.

Touareg Detail

Did a 2 step detail to correct the paint on the 2011 VW Touareg TDI a few weeks ago. Loved the results. Does it look like a 9 year old with 136k miles? Winter Beaters Need Love Too (WBNLT)!

Looks amazing! Would love to see some pics of the Remus on the car if/when you get the chance - sounds like most have gone with the CF tips but I like these.

Thank you for the feedback. These were the cheapest tips. Even after paying for powdercoating, it still comes out much cheaper than the other selections.

Per your request, below are some pics I have available. It is very hard to capture since they tend to be dark.

From last week:

From November (when it was installed):

Thank you! I think these look great - before you powder coated, were they a pretty shiny chrome? Agreed that these are probably the best bang/buck of all the tip options, and some of the best looking.
