Did you disconnect the battery before install? It's normal to get a few errors after reconnecting the battery, I had a few but cleared after driving for little bit the one I remember was the pdc sensors not working. I've gotten this twice when disconnecting battery after steering wheel install and then the gauge install.

Yes of course I disconnected the terminal from the battery,As I always do

I had 6 warnings checked them with Carly, deleted them and the car was fine after the first drive.

After the second drive the screen started to work properly

two pictures after the install

Great! yeah you always get codes when disconnecting the battery, I cleared mine with bimmercode as the gauge said I had none but they aren't permanent codes just errors stored in the memory log. Enjoy

How do you rate this gauge? Is it easy to use? What's the English like?

After a few weeks, it is quite simple to use,
I'm still trying to find out how to upload my custom boot logo

When you start it for the first time will ask you with language you want to set,
no issue using it in English.

I can help you with the custom boot image. He does have a guide on his website to load one. Dm me if you need assistance or the url to the guide. I flashed the latest firmware so I am familiar with the process.

I have it as well. Very easy to use, no English issues, the guide in English is very useful as well. The display has not freezes and I haven't run into any "bugs". Also a useful feature is to turn accessory power on and then set my exhaust valve flap position prior to startup.

No freezes yet,I cannot complain

If I want to be really OCD I don't like the screen too much, feels like an old technology, and the touch is not as responsive as our last gen smartphones

But I have to say that the AK cost one third of the price of the AWRON,so I happy with that.

Everything goes well till the point where I have to locate the CAN BUS connector

Picture 1 a screenshot from the tutorial, picture 2 my car with the missing connector

My car is a 2019 M2C RHD and I have manual seats if this detail helps

Does someone knows Where I can find that CAN BUS connector?
Any advice?

Thanks for the attention
Anyone know how we can make the rpm and speedometer needles rotate all the way up during start like in this video? Can this be coded with BimmerCode?

You can turn off the Display on the opening screen. Its the far right icon along he bottom. You will also need to "lock" the display to get a tune on the car as well. That icon is also on the opening screen....

I think the feature you want ,I guess is called staging,is just available with the AK motion display at the moment

BTW on mine the rev counter needle goes just half way,so I turned the feature off
Can it be just a small glitch?

Usually coding apps they implement their feature as long they learn from the platform,so they may offer this at some point, but it is just my speculation

Hope this helps

Yes you can turn it off if you want, there is an icon at bottom right

Not sure about the switch,It is connected trough the Can Bus,I'm not sure if it will upset some other systems

I just ordered one last week. Do you know if you can install it in either center vent? I have only seen it installed in the driver side center vent. Will it also mount in the the farther center vent from the driver (passenger center vent)?
Thanks.

Just read on another thread about the awron possibly interfering with a flash tune?

Is that same for the ak motion as it's wired the same? How does it exactly interfere?

Looking to install bm3 at some stage.

I think you can install it only on the centre vents, left or right
As the bezel around the screen is made to stay flush with the surrounding elements

It depend even if you buy LHD or RHD version

Unless you build a new bezel to fit it somewhere else

Mine is fully stock thanks to the last bmw software update

I can't use BM3 right now and I don't plan to bench unlock my ECU

I don't think this will interfere, never heard of this
