Items inside a new M2?

I secured my build for a 2021 M2 Comp today. A few noob questions:

1. Will the car come with a front license plate mount, even if the mount isn't installed? - And if so, does it include the right screws?

2. Can anyone tell me the part number of the 6-point cargo net that will work with the F87? - Yes, this car will haul groceries

Thanks.

The front mount is a dealer supplied option. Most dealers will either install the front plate or give you all the hardware.

My car had both the license plate mount and cargo net in the trunk when I collected it.

The plate OEM front plate mount goes for $70 MSRP and it's contoured to specifically fit the M2 bumper.

If I was you, I would try to sell it back on eBay; someone who lives a front-plate state and just crash their vehicle or a bodyshop would scoop it up..

Yeah I'm glad we don't have fronts in PA.

I personally keep all OEM stuff in a box in the garage in case 30 years from now at a swap meet someone needs a rare M2 license plate bracket.

Not calling you guys hoarders but I throw everything away. Everything with no perceived value away. And yes, it has come back to bite me several times.

It's supplied with the car.

If you don't spot it lying around inside the trunk, look inside the battery compartment in the trunk.

Hahaha yeah definitely am. In my defense though, when I sell a car, the box of stuff goes with it.

I have about a dozen front plate brackets in a box somewhere...

Thanks everyone.

I had no idea that the net comes with the car. Glad I asked. As for the license plate, I'm still debating what solution I should adopt.

I have to run a front plate because I don't want to keep getting pulled over. On the one hand, the stock mount looks best to me. On the other hand, I would like to avoid drilling into the front bumper whenever possible.

I like symmetrical options only. Personally, I find the tow hook plate mounts look awful. I looked into the carbonio mount, but I'm still on the fence about it, as I don't like the gap between the mount and the bumper. I wish there was a drill-less option that looked OEM.

First world problems, I know.

I run carbonio.. Granted I have Korean/Euro plates, I bent the plates slightly to follow the curve of the bumper. You might be able to do the same to reduce the gap. Highly recommend their mount.

California requires front plate. Still don't use it. Would have refused the car had bumper been drilled. I have but Mike's Sto N Show though to attach and detach if needed.

My friend runs a front plate frame that attaches from the bottom and onto the bumper with double-sided tape. No drilled holes, completely reversible.

He said a shop put it on for him but can't get me the name.

Point being, there are options out there, if you just keep looking..

Not a 100% but I think this might be it below, however, I will attest that it's pretty impressive and sturdy:

I wish I was as bold as you; here in NYC, prior to Covid, there are an army of meter maids that are out every single day and they even walk down residential streets, checking cars and writing tickets for anything. There is no escape or slipping through the crack..

The ticket is only $65 but it would hurt me to pay that, just on sheer principle, so I just installed the OEM plate mount.

Now, if it just a weekend car, I might risk it but on a daily driver, I won't last a week without a ticket.

Nice find, Poochie . I don't have to run a front plate either, but here's the purchase link on Amazon for those that do and a couple of photos from the e90 post:

it just depends on the area here. some places have an army of meter maids and some don't. if you're parking in SF city area or main street areas in little bay area cities parking enforcement is an issue. commuting from your house to an office with it's own parking lot or a large commercial parking lot like Target is super low risk.
