Fedora is in the Pacific! I posted a pic of the boat traversing the last (Miraflores) lock of the canal about 15 minutes ago - in the Port Hueneme Shipping Schedules thread.

My week 33 car just arrived yesterday. Looks like mine came with MPSS!

Fedora has arrived! Docked at Port Hueneme this morning. Should be quite a few week 33 (and 34), west-coast cars about to be unloaded. There's starting to be light at the end of the tunnel.

Learned from Genius today that my car has completed VPC processing and is now released to trucking. Should be at dealer by end of the week.

From my past experience, that was a very quick trip through customs and VPC - 2 days to do BoatDischarge->Customs->VPC->Truck is pretty much optimal!

And that's a nice data point for anybody with a car that came over on Fedora - it tells me that there was no shipping damage to address at the VPC - so any of you who were worried about potential shipping damage due to hurricanes can rest a little easier.

Congrats!

Pretty much the timing I said in the other thread where you posted. From what I have been reading on current VPC's thats the normal turnaround if your car is undamaged.

WWL says my car was delivered from Port Hueneme yesterday at 8am! Is it possible it might be ready sooner than the end of the week? Like tomorrow maybe??

Yeah - cool huh? Same as mine. Same as all the 20+ M2s that got unloaded from Fedora (on Sunday actually - WWL didn't get around to updating the database until yesterday 8am - Fedora left port before end of day Sunday).

Each car could take a different amount of time in the VPC though - depending on whether or not any shipping-damage-fixes are required.

It's possible it could get to the dealer on Thursday, but Friday/Saturday seem more likely IMO. But you never know. Call Genius or your CA to find out if your car has completed it's VPC process and if so, if the trucking company has picked it up yet.

Just got confirmation from both my CA and BWM Genius that my car is on a truck - left the VPC today. In theory, I should take delivery tomorrow! Finally

And that has got to be record time from boat arrival to delivery - 5 days. In the half-dozen or so times I've been through this, this is the fastest turnaround ever.

So mattschu , if your car is moving as fast as mine, you might very well have it today or tomorrow.

Truck tracking!

This was kind of neat - didn't expect it to bear fruit - but it did.

Offered for the pleasure of any fellow tracking fanatics ...

I followed this link from the Tracking sticky in this forum: https://www.unitedroad.com/delivery-receipts/

Typed in the last 8 of my VIN, and much to my surprise got a hit. It yielded a one line report on a "Delivery Receipt" that let me click on a link in the "Destination" column. And that yielded the item below (I've obscured the VINS for completely pointless privacy reasons - this is public info afterall) ... looks like my car is in the company of 7 other BMWs.

What's not clear to me is whether the time stamp on this (3:35am) is the pickup- from-VPC time, or the delivered-to-dealer time. I'm guessing the latter given that this is a "delivery" receipt - but am a little skeptical - are there really people at the dealership at 3:35am available to accept receipt of cars?

Thanks for the update! I haven't heard anything yet but I'll reach out to my CA tomorrow morning. The anticipation is killing me!

That "Delivered" time is probably "Delivered" to the road carrier from the VPC.

Journey complete!

Took delivery this morning. . 7 weeks to the day from Production Complete date.

LBB is so much better in person than in photos. I was only 90% sold on the color - now I'm 100%. Haven't done much spirited driving (busy today) - but it is oh-so-different (better) than my M235i. Very happy with LCI dash - big improvement. So nice to be back with a manual too - I gave the auto a shot in the m235i. Gotta row my own gears.

No regrets! I can tell I'm going to love this car.

Here are a few (poor) photos for "proof of life":

Congratulations!

Looks like you got Continental Tires. You should add that to the survey thread.

Beautiful! Congrats. Same spec as mine. So true about the color. I wasn't sold on LBB until I saw it in person. The color is amazing.

I'm still waiting on my car unfortunately. I'm really hoping it'll be ready tomorrow!

Finally picked up my car yesterday afternoon! I was too busy enjoying it yesterday to post

Absolutely loving the car so far. The sound is intoxicating with the M performance exhaust. I can't stop driving it. Here are some pictures!

I also uploaded a video of picking it up on my youtube channel. Here's the link:
