I tested my theory by running some of the VINs that the query returns on bimmer.work - and they are indeed all MY18 M2's. "%" is a wildcard that works with the WWL search engine (which I learned about via their help page). So this Cargo ID matches any M2 - and returns status on all M2's currently in the WWL universe. I just ran it again - and I'm not in there yet - although I'm pretty sure my car is on the Fedora. The query doesn't return any cars on the Fedora at the moment. In back-testing the data, it seems like cars don't show up in the WWL query until a day or 2 after being loaded. So I'm still holding out hope I'm on the Fedora. Time will tell .... |

The "%" also works by eliminating just the last 5 numbers of the VIN. I'm going to see if I can take this deciphering process any farther. See http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1418625.

On the Fedora!
Looks like I'm on a boat! Finally!
WWL query this morning shows my car "Received at Terminal" today (Sep 4) on the boat Fedora. Fedora left Bremerhaven on Sep 1 - so clearly the WWL system dates lag actual real events by a number of days. I've seen similar "going backwards in time" data on the site - so I'm 95% confident mine is on the Fedora. Fedora is due at Port Hueneme on Sept 30. Hopefully Irma will have left the stage before Fedora needs to get to the Panama Canal. BMW 800 number still says car is "at port awaiting a vessel" - I expect they'll catch up in the next day or 2. Any other 33'ers on Fedora? The highest VIN I saw in the query was VA12825 - an MG car with prod complete date of 8/28. 8/28 is week 35 - so there are very likely a number of week 34 and week 35 cars on this boat as well. |

Another week 33 here on the Fedora...finally on a ship. Thanks to JJ and being OCD for tracking this. I have VA12785 for my serial number, in AW. If everything runs per the typical time frames and schedules, I should have the car in my garage toward the last week of October, hopefully a bit sooner. A bit of light at the end of a very long tunnel!

Remember the Fedora may have other ports of call before it heads to the U.S., which would account for the extra time in the schedule. The best sites I found for keeping track of the boat a month or so ago are the Marine Tracker app and VesselFinder.com, which just gave me all the details on the Fedora - plus its International identification number: IMO 9332949. If you're OCD, with that number, you can do a general Google search and get all kinds of information about the ship and its travels. Check Willemiusmarine.com for all the specs on the boat.
For example, I can tell you the Fedora left Bremerhaven on 8/30, will stop in Southampton 9/5, and that jjclyde's car has a window seat.* *J/K about the window seat. |

Slowly but surely ....
Fedora has left it's last port-of-call (Bristol) before hitting the US.
Next stop Baltimore - Sept 15. The 3 nasties currently churning in the Atlantic may impede progress toward the canal - but it should be clear sailing to Baltimore. |

What ship were you on? My car was on Bosporus Highway which got into Galveston yesterday morning. My CA Is saying early next week at the soonest because the VDC is backed up, and my dealer is only 200 miles from the port. I see you're located in Colorado? Might be a bit longer?

I'm picking up in Fort Worth, bet we'll be on the same truck! My CA actually just emailed me saying his system shows the car arriving to him Monday 9/18 so I'd imagine yours is right around then too. Parts are piling up for me too, so excited to finally take delivery.
