European Delivery: Events across Europe
Hey guys,
I'm collecting my M2C on June 7th at the Welt. I'll be driving across Europe for one week and was wondering if anyone had information on different automotive events, car shows/meets, etc. happening across Europe (Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, etc.) between June 7th - June 15th? Nurburgring is already a given which I'll be travelling to on June 13th. Would be cool to experience car culture on a different side of the world! Looking forward to any tips! Thanks in advance

Thanks for the recommendations guys! I'm on a pretty tight schedule so it looks like the Nurburgring is the best option for car-related stuff.
Hope to bump into some of you in Europe!

Drive slow, let others pass, don't push it, and if you want extra insurance buy some one day track insurance ahead of time from a German vendor.

I just toured the MB Museum last week. It was really fantastic. Well worth the price of admission. The racing simulator was shut down the day I was there, but it looked like a really cool setup with two simulators side by side. Next trip I plan to see the Porsche site. That will then check off all three big German car histories for me!

Thanks for the tips guys. I'm hoping to hit all three museums - albeit for not as long as I'd like.

You can hit four museums with almost no effort!
BMW: Picking up your car at the Welt, hitting the BMW Museum is a given. Audi: You don’t exactly pass by the Audi home town of Ingolstadt on your why from Munich to Stuttgart and their museum is on the small side but it’s nice to see their whole set up and worth a visit if you are putting kilometers on the car so you can get the break-in service done in Europe. Porsche: Just north of Stuttgart in Zuffenhausen, the Porsche museum is on par with BMW and is now worth a visit. When I first visited it back in 1995, it wasn’t worth the effort as they had maybe 4 car and 6 engines. Then Mercedes build their museum and Porsche must have been feeling the pressure as they knocked down some of their factory (which was already too small) to make space for a new museum. The factory ‘dealership’ is also worth a visit. I had an amazing experience there back in 2007 when they gave me the keys to a 911 C4S, told me I could put 100Km on it and that any speeding tickets I got were my responsibility! Mercedes: The gold standard of automotive museums IMO and a pretty hard museum to beat in general. If you want to see it all, read it all, and hear it all, it will probably take you more than a day…hopefully they are not running cars on the roof of the factory next door as watching that can also suck up some time. In addition to the huge dealership attached to the museum, if you can time it right, just down the street is usually an excellent opportunity to see some super cars! Between the museum and Mercedes-Benz Arena, the home of VfB, Stuttgart's Bundesliga football (soccer) team is VfB’s training ground and at about 16:00 on training days, Ferrari’s, Lamborghini’s, Maserati’s...and maybe even the odd Porsche will start streaming out! There is always great beer, great food, and a great atmosphere in Stuttgart, you just can’t beat strolling down the Königstraße on a summer evening!

Pagani tour on the other hand is fantastic. It's a little on the pricey side but when I did it I even met Horacio Pagani and saw his private Porsche collection. |

The drive south through the Alps will be some of the best driving you do while in Europe. I’ve not done Lambo or Pagani but Ferrari was a waste of time, you can’t get a factory tour (at least when I went) and the museum was really just a merch shop. I’ve not been back since 2010 so maybe they have up their game. Maserati are there as well if you are trying to hit them all.
The best thing about Modena is that you can get some top quality Balsamico!

Thanks for the feedback gents!
I've booked the Porsche Factory Tour, a private BMW Welt Tour (through some connections at work), the Lambo & Pagani tour and am planning to just visit the Ferrari museum a few hours before they close. I've also booked the Apex M3 Ring Taxi! Looking forward to sharing my ED story with you all in the next few months.
