Many people use DS2500 for street and DS1.11 for the track since this pair doesn't require bed-in after pad change. However, I might switch to a different street pad to achieve 100% squeal free braking lol.

I don't track nearly as often as you so I thought Ohlins would be nice upgrade over the stock suspension My only concern is the rebuild interval for Ohlins. We'll see how long they will last for me.

I have never weighed my M4 unfortunately but it had MPE which saves about 25lbs over the stock exhaust so stock vs stock my M4 might have been lighter than the M2C (most likely it was). I'll try to save another 30+lbs from the M2 with an exhaust and take break for a while for modding M2 doesn't have lithium battery so there is a huge potential to shave off another ~40lbs with a $700 lithium battery but I don't wanna remove that much weight from the rear without touching the front (not to upset the weight distribution).
Interesting, my DS2500 were nearly silent, I would only get squeaking in rare occasions. Maybe they just need to be bed in a little more? The DS1.11 is much worse noise. Pad changes with the AP kit are painless, no punching stupid pins.

It'll be interesting to see what you can do with the car once (if?) you take it to the track. Would love to hear your comparison vs your M4.

Also, are you planning on carbon fiber roofing? That should save a little weight but it's also expensive AF.

Yea, I'll try to bed them in more in next couple days. I'm definitely planning to take it on a track. In fact, been waiting to do a comparison to my M4 at Laguna. However, I still have certain things to take care before my first track day. The Apex EC-7 staggered wheels do not fit on the M2 so I have to sell them first to make room for the new set of track wheels. My guess is that my first track day will be in 2019

I really wanted the CF roof if I could spec it from the factory or even port installed but neither is available as of now. CF roof saves 12-13lbs tho and I only wanted it because of the looks not really for the weight savings. I'll get my roof wrapped in black instead. I might get CF hood in the future tho. Some options save about 24-25lbs and I might do the lithium battery at the same time. But I already spent quite a bit on the mods so far. I'll take a break and enjoy the car for a while

I'd leave the rear as is and drop the front to match but that's just me

Yes, 10mm all around but rears rubbing under compression with this ride height. I'll try my 7.5mm Turner spacers or take the rear ones off.

Thank you so much for making this happen George!

For those who are still looking for an M2C or any other BMW, I would like to give a brief review on my experience throughout this whole process as well:

Even though I live in Bay Area, CA; I got my car from Rallye BMW in NY. F85Matt (Matt) referred me to one of the best Client Advisors I have met so far. I contacted slalomfever (George) probably in February and we have been in touch regarding this car since then. He not only fulfilled all my small requests regarding ordering, delivery etc but also went above and beyond in pretty much everything. Even though I was tracking the car based on my production# and what I hear from BMW genius, George was giving me updates whenever there is something new about my order. On top of this, he was very patient with my countless emails and always got back to me with an answer in no time. You might think there is nothing extraordinary here but these days it's very difficult to find client advisors like Matt or George. Not to mention, both of them have been receiving "M Sales Awards" on an annual basis In my opinion, car buying is special experience and a great CA can make this experience well-wroth it for you. I highly recommend both Matt (Knauz BMW) and George Javier (Rallye BMW) if you are looking for a new BMW.

I think that's a decent, fair price for the brakes, I'm potentially going to sell mine too so I'm curious if yours sells easily or not LOL

Cntzl - In one of the videos the Essex rep talked about putting the brake set up at the front and still being able to leave the OEMs at the rear. What made you decide to put Ams front and read (I think that's what I saw from your pictures). Also, what are the product codes for the front and read brake set ups from AP?

Cheers,

Karl

I got both fronts and rears because it was a package deal and it was hard to pass. Selling 2NH kit as whole kit is a better deal for me anyway. Front brakes are 9660 and rears are 9449 Essex AP Racing.

I just sold mine for $5K plus shipping.I originally listed for sub $5K but several members, friends and my shop warned me not to let them go for less than $5K since they are basically brand new. In the worst case, I was just gonna keep them. If I sell my wheels I too, I will have recouped a big chunk of my spending on the mods
