I've been missing all the meets as I have been traveling.

However, I've just registered for Area27 on May 25 with the VCMC. Perhaps I'll meet some of you there. Let me know if you do.

Anyone of you going on the Harrison Hot Springs drive with the BMWCCBC next Sunday?

Possibly, haven't decided yet. Are you going to Mission on Monday?

Unfortunately Harrison's all full now - 30 cars.

Not registered for Mission as it's not one of my favorite tracks. I may drive out there to have a look anyway. I would rather track at Area27 or Ridge.

Was actually registered with VCMC for Area27 on Monday but it got cancelled. The next one's on July 6th. Hope to see more M2's out then.

No spectators in Mission because of Covid.
It will be my first actual track day, I have only done cones before so I don't really care that the track is not very exciting.

Not that Mission isn't exciting. There's little runoffs should you make a mistake before you meet the concrete barriers. Just be careful and know your limits - especially when it's damp. I know someone who found out the hard way and totaled his E30 without much effort.

After you have more track time you should really try Area27. Much nicer track.

It was good fun. Wet in the morning and then dried up for the last couple of sessions in the afternoon.
You were right, not very exciting track, basically no high speed turns.

I just checked out the area27 track, that looks awesome!

Do you know some good car club that holds well organized events on the Vancouver Island?

Is there anything scheduled?

Otherwise, there's the German Car Fest happening on July 19th. We should all come out in force -

https://www.bmwccbc.org/event/19th-a...nstance_id=200

Before that, I'm also thinking of doing Dancing with Cones on July 12th -

https://www.bmwccbc.org/event/dancin...nstance_id=174

Both above events are with the BMWCCBC.

Also, for track day, Area27 with VCMC on July 6th. Registration start June 1st -

The BMWCCBC events are well organized and inexpensive when compared to others. The Dancing with cones is to be confirmed, the Pitt Meadows location is dealing with some issues, I don't think it's just Covid related.

The Mission track day this week was good, the next one is July 14th. The track itself is not very exciting (most turns are low speed, the whole track is very small, walls very close to the track) but it's still good fun.

Yes, apparently Pitt Meadows has new owner, so all events there have been cancelled to date.

I've driven many tracks - 3 times at Area27. It remains one of my favorite tracks.
Registration opens this coming Monday with VCMC. Hope to see some of you there as well.

Any one of you signed up for Area27 on July 6th?

I see 5 M2's signed up, 3 of them M2C's.
