aFe new Magnum Force intake inst

Got this badboy installed this weekend. Took some 1/4 NPT bits from amazon to get installed, since the 90deg fitting was missing form the box. I love the look and the sound is just enough to make me happy.

Nice! I was considering this one but went with Turner's... but I'm noticing a low rpm "whistle"/blowing over a bottle noise with the Turner one. Do you hear anything like that with this one? I also like that you can get a dry filter and that it retains the strut brace.

Just a little bit, really it's not much different at idle. Hardly and of that bottle noise like the Eventuri. Mostly just a nice turbo kind of suction sound and a nice bubble on the shifts.
Yeah dry filter was a must and about 500miles without any CEL!

The ONLY bad thing is the location of that dumb 90deg fitting is right on our radiator fan housing. I'm assuming other models with the N55 didn't have that there...

aFe changed the location of that vacuum line and I do not know why. I had the same intake on my M235i and the vacuum line was located the same place where the OEM was. (next to the MAF sensor)

Original location

Dang, I wish mine had it there! Would have saved me an extra $12 in air compressor fittings and an hour of being like "WHY THE HELL DID THEY PUT THAT THERE"
