The Competition F80's wear 265/285 to handle 444hp, so more rubber than the base M2 should be easy to do.

763M looks nice from distance, but up close it's very boring especially when dirty and is easily outshined by 437M by a mile.
763M has a good design but it should be in glossy finish. Gun metal is on the edge of acceptance.

I'm planning to order a new LCI model. It will be delivered in Januari. But the more I read about the CS... from now on, I can't justify the price increase.. will it have adjustable DCT settings? Bucket seats? Carbon roof? M mirrors?!
Still don't know if waiting for the CS is worth it. |

So I would expect a modest price increase (~€7k/£6k/$8k) with minimal changes. No CF roof No change of seats Possible new wheels along line of CP or CS Change of engine with power increase of course Some cosmetic changes And thats about it. At least that's what I'm hoping for! CF roof or unique seats (as much as I would want them) are going to add too much £££££ Needs to be comfortable DD not a track weapon. Leave that for the GTS if it ever happens. The item I would want most and top of my wish list would be Adaptive M Suspension. Biggest single missing factor on current M2 for me. It's on the M3/M4, it's on the Mx35i/Mx40i and you can even spec it on regular series cars. The one car you can't spec it on is the car I want it on most. |

Are you saying you put 305 tires on M2 with those wheel combos? If I misunderstood. What tires are you running with those wheel combos?
Folks can have much more fun with their car on a daily basis with wider rubber rather than trying to attain higher HP numbers. |

...so to hope for wider wheels is unlikely in my humble opinion. Getting wider tires on the other hand should be feasible: All on 9" and 10" rims: F87: 245/265 F80: 255/275 F80 Competition: 265/285 F82 "CS": 265/285 (Cup 2) I'm curious if NA market will also get the Cup 2 tires on the M4CS. I have been under the impression that our laws here made that less likely and we would see a 'safer' road tire (PSS or PS4S)? Either way as far as I can see it would make sense that the M2CS could wear 255/275 on a 9 and 10" wheel. ...and I don't have an M2. But I do have 255/275 PS4S on my stock 1M wheels (9 and 10").

"A new DTM-design light-alloy wheel variant has been developed specially for the BMW M4 CS in Orbit Grey. It comes in a 9 x 19 –inch format for the front and 10 x 20 inches for the rear. The ten-spoke wheels are fitted as standard with road-legal Michelin cup tyres (front: 265/35 R 19, rear: 285/30 R 20). Higher-profile sports tyres can be ordered as an option."

I know some people say the "CS" and "Competition" models are really the same thing, but then there is this article.
http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2017/8/1...erica-7740657/ They clearly make a distinction between the Competition and CS models and stated that the former will be using a 380HP N55 while the latter will use the detuned S55. Is the Carbuzz writer just confused? |

The forthcoming M2 CS ("M2 Competition") is powered by an S55 engine (3.0 litre) with 410 hp (metric) output (302 kW). That's a fact.

I read that before and that's the source of what I said in the first line I believe. But where is Carbuzz getting the 380hp N55 "all but official" from? Then you mentioned a M2 with a N55 sounding engine being tested as well. |

The more spicy goodies on board (either stock or optional), the lighter your wallet will be. Wallet weight saver. My guesstimate used to be approx. +50% (as for the E46 M3 CSL versus E46 M3) if all bells 'n whistles are on board. But again, that's just a guess.

But look at the M4 CS versus M4 pricing + what you (don't) get for the base price.

Their marketing focus is on the new M5 right now. Give it a couple of months.

Looks like there will be both MT and AT for Europe and the US for left-hand driven cars, but right-hand driven cars will be AT only. Furthermore there is no mentioning of both a Competition and CS arriving (ZCP would be an option to the "normal" M2, so it's still possible) but a F87 Competition is mentioned. So no addition to the things we know, except right-hand driven cars will be AT only I guess.

Yes good point. Given ambitiously high pricing of M4CS and new M5 things not looking good for M2CS price?
