I enjoy the F87 styling and body. I also like the agility.

Another thing that I really appreciate about this car?

IT ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE A BMW!!

BMWs no longer look like BMWs. It's one of the main reasons I dislike most of the newer models.

Yeah, not sure what's going on in that department...

I just got back from the tow yard and everyone thought it was an M3. Even noted as M3 on the paperwork. I think the idea of a small, sporty coupe elicits M3 vibes. How the mighty have fallen.

I stand by my statement from another post; the best M3 is the M2(C/S)

Curious to know the story as to how your M2 ended up in a tow yard...

Unfortunately I was involved in an accident last week. Physically, I'm in one piece. Mentally, I'm bitter and frustrated, yelling at clouds.

Wow, very sorry to hear that, but good to hear that you're at least physically ok. Narrowly avoided a deer myself a couple weeks back

Plain and simple - IT'S A BLAST TO DRIVE!!!

It's fun on the street, it's excellent at the track, it's just FUN!

Own both - have had my e46 M 6MT coupe for about 13 years now, and the M2C since new in late 2019. The M2C truly is the spiritual successor, more power, better braking and grip, but I'd be damned if I said that it was always the preferred car to drive. There still something so timeless about both the exterior and interior design of the car, and the S54 is a hoot, even if it's heavily lacking in the torque department. Having them parked side by side in the garage, it's crazy how nearly identical they are in dimensions, with the M2C being just a bit heavier. Love them both equally.

No kidding, the wife opted for the Z4M roadster and it was a blast.

The comp will be irreplaceable IMHO...

Coming from an E46 M3, for me, there is a lot to like about the M2C, such as the engine, the transmission (DCT), the handling and the looks. Above all those attributes, it's a fun car to drive.

I owned my E46 M3 for 10 years. It only had 35k kms and it was in very good condition, so I didn't want to daily drive it. I bought an X2 to drive to work and I kept the M3 for fun. Not long after I got the X2, I no longer needed to go to the office and I wasn't driving the M3 very often, so I decided to go from two cars down to one by replacing the M3 and X2 with an M2C. Aside from the S54, which I enjoyed very much despite its lack of torque compared to the S55, there isn't anything I miss that much about the M3. The M2C more than makes up for the M3. I doubt BMW will ever get another car as right as they got the F87 M2C.

With respect to the looks I got to see a comp next to the new M4 and G87 at the dealership and to me the flow on the comp was much more pleasing but more important to me was the dimension difference between them, quite stark.

At the current rate in 10yrs the M4 will be the size of a school bus...

Just took mine out after installing the PA4s (which are superb) and I think you're quite right as I'm still smiling...

I saw a black G87 in traffic last week, and I didn't realize what it was for a moment. The height/width/length of the car is actually pretty nice to look at, and in black, it doesn't look nearly so strangely Frankensteined together.

I'm no more interested in the car than I am in the M4 (which is to say, I'm not). But I do think it looks better than the current M3/M4.

In all black it looks acceptable which in itself speaks volumes.

I saw one in that pony blue color drive by and it looked like a floating brick...

Another big plus is that this car still has a handbrake. I hate electric parking brakes.
