Who knows though, I might just end up with adding a non BMW car, and turbocharging the E36 M3. Call it a day, if there's such a thing

But maybe BMW M tweaked it in the meantime, either for better (improve the Ring lap time furthermore) or for worse (cut the M4 some slack to respect the hierarchy). Jeremy Clarkson: here's your automotive weapon of choice !

Let's start the anticipation. A birdie says the passenger seat may be "optional". Passenger seat, not back seat.

Or does it genuinely become more fun? It'll definitely be interesting to see.

Yes. But the ultimate version comes later in the form of two special editions - M2 CSL: Miami and M2 CSL: New York with special interior and exterior colors. At least that's what Gary Sinise told me.

Huge sigh of relief from 2016/2017 M2 owners lol. Glad there's no major changes planned for the 2018+ models. Could give a shit about the CS, I couldn't afford one anyway

Bittersweet. I love the sound of the current M2. The M3 sounds awful. Worst sounding BMW I can recall. The power is nice but hope the new exhaust does some serious magic. I also hope it keeps the liquid intercooler and gets a temp gauge and idrive screen delete and less weight. I guess that's a lot to ask of BMW these days.

That's what I'm thinking? At first I saw posts about owners being mad but should we really be concerned?

I wouldn't pay 10k more for the CS. I'm still annoyed that I had to pay sticker for my 2016 and I didn't even get to pick my options but there seem to be plenty of available cars at sticker not even six months later. I'll probably give my dad my M2 and finally move onto Porsche like I should have done instead of pining over a car that will be outdated in a year.

I'd will be very surprised if this is under $70k. My guess is 72,500 including Dest. BASE.

if the M2 CS cant fit more under it than the current M2.... then I definitely need a GTS. After spinning my tires to my heart's content with stock 265s on the rear.. and then 275/35 R rubber.. my 1M is extremely HAPPY with 10" wide 285/30/18 and 10.5" wide 315/30/18s on it.. ( and he-man 335s can fit in the rear ) dimensions that it seems the M2 can't quite cope with... I've never really asked for more power from my 1M.. more tire.. more camber.. yes please to both.. It's up to you whether or not to be concerned, but I will say that a lot of people were on here claiming that the S55 would be in the new "base/lci" M2 and that doesn't seem to be the case. The CS will be more expensive and is a slightly different animal. I don't think it will matter all that much. |

Great news, but I'll keep enjoying my M2 till the CS arrives
