Will I see any benefits of running 100 octane in a completely stock N55 M2 for a track day? In AZ we only have 91 octane. Thanks

I would think so. The theory being that 100 octane being more resistant to detonation will allow the engine computer to keep timing longer as AITs climb.

If I had a choice between the 2 I'd certainly run 100 instead of 91. Peace of mind if no other benefits.

I've run 100 at Buttonwillow as I was too lazy to drive 30 minutes to get gas...never had a problem and assumed there was some extra knock protection

The car did not feel "faster" though

I'd say run a mix to get up to 94-95 octane to let the engine avoid detonation and additional heat from timing pulls. Strikes a balance between not-so-great 91 and pricey straight-100.
