Then you'd have nothing to look forward to when the M2 CSL comes out!

And still.
The problem is that most of those items that were removed don't weigh any more than the new parts. Wheels are good... but the center console armrest is negligible, comfort access is probably a software-only option or maybe different PCB somewhere (either way, electronics are very light), the seats with holes probably don't weigh much less, heated steering wheel might not even add a pound or two, Driving Assistant is mostly software, simplified climate control probably software and electronics only. Ultrasound transducers, sensors, and other things like that weigh basically nothing. Their weight is dominated by the wiring actually, and I would bet the wiring harness does not change from M2C.

The simplified climate controls in particular strike me as a faux "hardcore" thing. Look how edgy we are, we took away the second zone!

Truth be told I'm pretty underwhelmed with the CS, because of the weight and that it cost 40% more than an M2c. Yeah it's got CF this and that, but who cares if it's all show and no go. An M2c with a tune, lowered on coilovers (lowers entire cars center of gravity) and fitted with Sport Cup 2 tires will be golden at a fraction of the cost and actually attainable.
