There are a couple of UK dealers who offer highly competitive discounts.

They sponsor a few UK based forums I use.

Interestingly, the part numbers for the front pads equate to the F10 M5 optional accessory “sport pads” part no: 34112284465

These are really expensive & the stock F10 M5 pads (34112284869) are quite a bit cheaper.

I wonder if the factory fitted M2 2NH (silver / grey calipers) will come with the stock (34112284869) pads and the accessory catologue 2NH retrofit kit (red) maybe then comes with the sport pads (34112284465) ??
Looks like my thought process was correct.

My BMW dealer confirms that the ‘869’ pads are listed as the M2 Competition front pads on the factory fitted set up.

Then the ‘465’ pads are fitted to the retrofit kit only.

Thanks for sharing all this info.
So the red retro fit kit will stop better but might squeak.
Looks like the £1350 factory upgrade is a good deal.
Also, both sets of pads will work in the gold CCB calipers which can now be used on the upgraded 400mm steel rotors.
Some good options about now when it comes to braking power and style choices.

No problem - I am putting the gold F8x CCB fronts onto my F31 with the M2 comp 400mm iron discs and the '869' standard F10 M5 / standard M2 comp pads and a custom radial bracket to suit the F3x hub - so I have been doing loads of research and allways happy to share info.

I hate people who act like this stuff is a national secret!

Price wise:

'869' pads = £190 GBP
'465' pads = £350 GBP

Clearly for daily use its a no brainer to opt for the 'stock' pads which are £160 GBP cheaper.

Gold, Silver and Red calipers front and back are all identical right?
So M2C stock rear pads will also work with the CCB rear calipers?
No custom bracket needed for OG M2, just need to make sure the upgraded 400mm rotors are used at the front and similar for rear.
...and your pad prices are rrp or your discount prices?
Thanks again

Prices are discounted.

Rears in theory should be as you describe - however I haven’t looked into it much yet.

Silver / Red are identical, Gold is identical but with the addition of titanium pistons.

Sept 18 is now the expected arrival date of the M2comp parts in the UK.
My pads arrive next week & the discs are showing at my dealer as available from mid August.

Are you going with the stock pads or the “sport”?

No delays on pads as they are also the stock M5 pads!

If there are any delays I’d imagine it’s the discs?

ETA: just re-read & it’s the discs your talking about - not the pads!

Yeh, I edited my post!

Pads weren’t in stock at the dealer, so just waiting on replenishment.

Did you get a good deal on discs & pads?

I tried looking through the thread, but could not see the part numbers required to do a retrofit to an original M2?

@R99, very interesting information. I will PM you.

Need to sort my brakes out before going to the 'Ring!

Don't retrofit! Buy the M Performance kit with red calipers. Same thing different colour.

Same thoughts
Just to confirm for my little technical understanding, is it known if the new Mperf brakes 2NH will also get more material resistant pads, like Pagid pads?
Sorry if it was already said somewhere but I am really confused on this one

You can order „BMW M Performance“ pads instead of the stock pads if you like to yes.

Optional 2NH sport brakes (M2 Competition = grey calipers | M Performance Parts = red calipers) come with stock pads ('quiet').

Sport brake pads ('squealing') are optional (M Performance Parts) for 2NH sport brakes and for stock brakes (M2C/M2):

Hey guys. M2C on order....

I had to drop 2NH brakes from my order last week as they are on a global production stop "until further notice" so if I wanted my car this year (or any year, who knows) then it had to be without 2NH.

No new orders can be placed with 2NH and standing orders are being delayed.

£1350 is a good factory option price, but now I think i'll retrofit and sell on the OE parts to help cover costs a little.

Whoa, crazy. Any idea why there's a production stop? Does this have anything to do with what's being discussed in the other thread about brake fade?
