Does wireless charging work with a thin case on the phone? I bought the iPhone X Silicone Case from apple and am wondering if it'll work (still waiting 2-3 weeks for the phone).

sorry but couldn't tell ya. i don't keep mine in a case but the cradle slides about a quarter inch past the edge of the phone so you might be alright with a really thin case.

How fast is the wireless charging? Is the wireless charging speed significantly slower compared to the wired?

Has anyone got a pic of the cradle? Is under the centre armrest? Aus. delivered cars don't have wireless charging which really sucks. Would love to try and retro fit.

I have an LG G6, and it fits and charges too, but it's right at the limit of the length that's possible.

I'd say it charges slowly, but I've not really had a chance to thoroughly test it yet. I was on the phone pretty much constantly for my 5 hour drive home from the dealer yesterday, and it did still increase the battery percentage, but probably only by about 25%.

I do have a regular desktop Qi charger, and that seems really very fast, from about 20% to full in a little over an hour if I had to guess. I don't think the car wireless charger is as fast as that.

The other thing to note is that the phone does get warm if you put it in the wireless charger. Warm, not hot, so I'm not concerned, but something to be aware of.

It should, it works with no problems on the non-iphones I've used with thin cases

To change the subject before someone starts using naughty words does anyone know if the Samsung Note 8 fits ? In Europe we are a little less addicted to Apple products....

I think the note is larger than this X, so it is hard to say.

Looks like it might.

Works fine for me. Just got back from an Euro trip. Rental from SIXT was a brand new 530i wagon that had all the cool features including wireless charging. my iPhone 8 had no problem charging with the Apple case.

That is good news that the X fits! But can you still connect with the lightning connector so the "connected" software still works! Wireless charging is not a big deal, I'd rather be sure that the programs that currently work still are useable. IE the calendar and iMessage etc....
