100 octane on a stock M2?

Quick question. I have my first HPDE with the M2 coming up and I am concerned about running out of gas. The tank is very small and the nearest gas station is 20 miles away.

The track has Sunoco 260 GT 100 octane and 260 GTX 98 octane. They say GTX is not street legal but I don't know why.

So my question is - if I need to fill up for the last 25 minute session or to make it 20 miles to the nearest gas station will I be okay putting 100 octane in it or am I risking something?

I don't want to carry my own gas mainly because I haven't found an "EPA" gas can that doesn't leak like crazy. I don't really want to drive to the track with the leaking tank in the trunk.

Thanks!

unleaded 100oct won't hurt your car

the GTX is probably leaded gas, don't put that in your car, will ruin the cat

This.

As long as the gas is unleaded, the only damage from buying 100 octane is to your wallet (if it's less than $10/gallon, let me know!).

Thanks! It's $10.06/gallon. I obviously will only fill up enough to finish the day and get to the normal station if I need to.
