I don't think there is anything to worry about choosing the right color.
It seems to me all the M2 colors are safe.
In my opinion LBB is fashionable, MG is more mature and metallic, AW is cleaner, and BS is more aggressive on the M2.

The E82 is a future classic! long live Bangle!
I'm an E82 lover/owner and will admit the front of the E82 looks rather dated and even unpleasant compared to the 2-series side by side. The rear holds up pretty well, though, IMHO. And, don't even get me started on the cow belly on the E82. Yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder but flared or not, the E82 has aged rather poorly in my opinion. Even a clean E46 3-series still holds up better comparatively.
I think the E82 has aged really well....then again I always loved the styling of it long before I actually got one...

I still haven't seen a photo of the M2 that matches the looks of the 1M. Front, rear, or side. I guess I'm just a hopeless fanboy!!!

To me there is something hopelessly old school about the E82. The F 2-series is certainly modern...but modernity isn't necessarily what everyone wants!!

Looks damn good. I'm totally over it not having 'M' mirrors.

well the 1M is a totally different beast compared to the 135is...put the 1M beside the M2 and we'll discuss further.

I currently own an M4... and can afford it... but I'm still going to buy an M2 to try out the smaller platform.

That's cool, I knew a few people would get butt hurt by that post!

I would never trade down to this from a m4 but that's just me

The car looks great, but I really wanted the mirrors.

More concerning to me is not using "M Power", and the seats.

Looks menacing! Can't wait to pick up mine end of next year. That E82 looks like a little friendly boy compared to the F87.

Damn, I go to that Fairway frequently. Just saw this thread after it was featured.
Has anyone seen the car since then?

No "butt hurt" here

It's about experiencing different cars and the unique character each brings. Outside of the 10 track days a year I'll do, I never push the M4 anywhere near its capability. Same for the M2... on the street there is no way I'm close to its potential. On the track, it won't be as fast as the M4 but will be a different experience and I like the idea of that. It may even be MORE engaging on the street given its size? We'll see.

If I wanted the best absolute performance, it wouldn't be in an M2 or an M4 or even an M5/6. I'd be driving a Z06 or a new 911S or something along those lines. Are there better cars than the M2? ABSOLUTELY. But who cares, lots of time to own lots of cars and I like to experience many along the way... I don't buy cars for their badge or to impress others

As much as I WANT to like the M2, I just really can't get myself to like the design. Granted, I have never seen one in person, but even the M235i i always despised the headlights and tail lights. Very eager to see one in person to get my final opinion though.
