I think it's about function over form these days, that shooting brake would be awesome ZM2...

Can the OP photoshop a M135i with a M2 treatment instead? If there is ever going to be a hatch back, it would be based on M135i.

Great job on that render.I still prefer the coupe but this would be an incredible sedan for people that need 4 doors.

It's funny how BMW refuse to bring us something like that - there's clearly a market for smaller 4 door cars - think VW Golf, Audi A3, MB CLA, even cars like the Corolla, Civic, etc. - you would just be adding some RWD fun to that option list for customers.

My girl loves the F80 and is saving for one, but would jump all over a 5 door 1M - and then the garage would be perfect.

IIRC someone did that in a thread around here sometime in the past - and it looked awesome....

Shooting brake looks great in M2 trim!

GC also looks good, but it feels like as the length grows you are really stepping into M3/4 territory.

OMG !!! I screaming in joy like a little girl...

Would totally do it and hoon it ... In this specific order (Manuals):

1) M2 GC
2) M2 shooting brake clown shoe hatchback coupe
3) M2 sedan
4) M2 coupe
5) M2 5door Touring mini station wagon
7) M-X2 GC
8) M-X1 x-drive

9) M2 GT
10) M2 convertible

If there is a M2 GTS shooting brake, it will go right to the top of the list!

Make it BMW, make them all !!

The rendering looks great, but I don't see it ever being built.
This was the first time I noticed BMW cars during college in 02. I have been considering buying a M Coupe.
