Remus exhaust requires cutting??

I ordered my m2 a while back and should be expecting it in a few weeks. I’m looking into a few mods like all the basic bolt ons. And I’ve read it on some vendors website that the Remus exhaust requires cutting when installing it. My question is will there be additional parts that I should look into so that the Remus exhaust can just directly bolt onto the car (downpipe, midpipe, or x pipe). From the videos that I’ve seen online I like the way the Remus sounds, and if I can get some parts in addition to the exhaust which can directly bolt onto the car that would be great. Thanks guys

According to the Remus website, it says direct bolt on and "no vehicle modification required!" But I have no clue myself, ssooooo...

Justin.AutoTalent could probably speak more on the 17401 M2's they've presumably modified in SoCal...

I think it's the older M2s with the N55 that doesn't require any cutting.

Requires cutting, in fact, all exhausts require cutting unless you get a catback exhaust from the primary cats. The s55 exhaust is one piece from the primary cat all the way back.

PS have the Remus, installed it myself in the garage. Was pretty straight forward.

REMUS exhaust is an axle back, it will require cutting.

Its a very simple process that takes minutes.

Another solution would be to add the Active Autowerke midpipe. No cutting required when doing both these mods at the same time

Cool, thank you guys so much I think I'm going with a midpipe when I get the exhaust, is there tuning required for just having midpipe and exhaust?
