my M2 is 1 of 359....how cool
Just looking through a site that uses vehicle tax data to tell you how many cars are still on the road (in the UK).
First time i have tried it for new cars but according to this there has only been 359 manual M2 brought over, when i actually got mine in May 2016 there was only 65! Anyway just sharing, its quite a good site to waste some time on. Oh and for those wondering, there is 713 DCT's. https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/bmw_m2 |

Why do you get off taking a piss on the M2. Pretty much every single post.
Im curious as to what drives a person like you? One who comes on a celebratory post from an owner who is excited about their car and slams said car for.....what exactly? And your criticism is not even constructive. It’s troll’ish. Just look at your post history. Super immature of you. Perfect candidate for the ignore list. |

It's also very nice to be able to Fact Check BMW AG on the take rate for manual. Currently the U.K. is exactly at a 33% take rate for the manual based on that data |

This and also a mixture of variables that make the UK market very different to that of the US. For example, historically US car prices have always been lower than Europe, taxes are different, money is cheaper and so is the cost of living making the M2 more of a bargain in this respect. UK folks wanting to experience what all the hype is about a certain car and then going onto the next thing when the novelty of being the Darling of the press has died down is common place.People are more cautious, keep milages down and change frequently in the hope of keeping residuals as high as possible. Magazines are always looking for the next best thing also, and partially drive the market along... There were also the "carpet baggers" who ordered when the M2 was first announced in the hope of a quick profit like the Cayman GT4 et al but it didn't quite work out like that for them realising the BMW wasn't quite up there with the Porsche Just a few reasons without even going into the " it's not as good as I thought it was" rationale for fear of upsetting the fanboys amongst us |
