landapanda , Thanks for weighing down Randy so he couldn't beat my time...
I know - so pissed !!

And his time included a slow pass in the lower esses ...

I expect you to be in the 5s in tour GT4. Will be at FATT tomorrow; if you are there, ITD be good to catch up.
I think in the morning I saw you at the gas station near summit point, haha. I was in my black m2c with rtr-pca that weekend.
Yep that was me. Though you were coming out to the FATT event.

Bravo! What a great achievement to bring home with you—a tip of the hat to you 👏🏻!

Here is a video of my best lap from this weekend's BMW NCC event at the Jefferson Circuit (Summit Point). Best time came on Saturday with the cooler weather.

The Jefferson circuit was fun when I did it last fall. You took an interesting line around Snoopy's nose different than what the instructors showed.(don't remember the turn #). Then there was too much glare to see how you exited it.

Other than never figuring out that turn, and the confusing lead-follow, I enjoyed running it.

Nice work! Solid driving.

I noticed the same thing. Fastest lap timed come when ambient temp is in the 50F range or so, and track is a bit warmer. It's a noticeable difference when the motor starts pulling timing, and it definitely shows up in the lap times.

This is one big reason I am going back to a NA car for my next track tool. Most of the days I typically attend are in May/June/July. Michigan has hot and very humid summers, and I'd rather not have to target April/May and September/October to get good lap times.

Took my new to me 18 M2 out to WDCR SCCA's Time Trials on Summit Main last Friday and Saturday. Was my first ever TT and first time on Main in many years. Forgot how hard that track is on your left front if you have no camber.

Posted an official 1:23.030 but I'm not sure if it is the 1st or 2nd lap in this video since I don't see each lap SCCA recorded via my transponder. According to solostorm these were both within .04 of each other, so within the error of a 10HZ gps.

Now I know why everyone runs camber plates on tracked M2. Cooked my left front shoulder each session in just a handful of laps. Had to get lucky with traffic in those laps if I wanted to post a time. Defn think there's another second in the car as is. More if I get an alignment.

Overall a great group to run with, definitely would recommend it

My first time at Mid-O in the 17 M2 6MT. Fastest lap of the weekend was a 1:47.2 while passing a few friends. A bit of a bummer when you know the car has so much more in it

Running the Falken FK510 tires (bad choice for track tires)

Only mods are Suspension and 513m wheels. I'll ask to be added to the leaderboards once I go back on proper rubber lol

And another, my first time at Summit Main. This track is fast compared to Mid-O, I was leaving tons of time on the table. Brake pads courtesy of arudeone

It's amazing how much faster it looks from this camera angle. Which mount are you using? Excellent time too. Looks like I need to get a bit more comfy at this track lol.

Nice! Mid-O is a great track. Looking forward to see what you can do on better rubber. My best so far was 1:43.7 in a '14 Mustang GT with suspension and Ventus R-S3.

I will be heading there this summer/fall with a new track toy once I'm back in US. And hopefully also posting better lap times too!

Yeah it's a strange visual trick that I think comes from being able to see the periphery a little better. This is a standard gopro suction cup that I just stuck on the back window. I primarily concentrate on autocross so the suction cup outside the car over your left shoulder is my favorite view for seeing my hands and at least where one side of the car is relative to key cones. I think a headrest mount would maybe be better than the back window for track in this car since you can see car placement better, but you'd lose the peripheral views which really help you see how well the car is rotating relative to your inputs. No perfect solutions!

My all time record is a 1:41ish(?) on the club course and 1:39 pro course in my 944 turbo race car. For some reason, I couldn't get very comfortable in the M2, not sure whether it was tires or whether I had to drive it to work on Monday. Lol

Also, the track is easily 1 second faster late summer or fall after it's been "rubbered in" by Indy or IMSA and other groups over the summer. Measurable differences in corner exit speed before and after they race. Pretty amazing, really!

Forgot to mention, it's defin worth using GoPro's exposure compensation from this angle or else it gets confused by all the black inside the car and brightens the image to the point you cant see the track at all *facepalm*. I think I was adjusted down -1 stop in the above video

Newby at Barber Motorsports Park 1:52, timed from video.
2020 M2C stock except for Ferodo DS2500 brake pads, and SRF fluid.
Last few sessions I was very consistent in the 1:52-1:53 range and happy with that. I want camber plates before pushing the car harder.

Still working on the videos.
