I was just gonna eat the big one tbh and go for the Litchfield version. At least I know it's been developed for the car explicitly.
When my deposit is down looking at June install date. Last edited by 3t3p; 05-01-2021 at 11:04 AM.. |

M2CS adaptive suspension is a joke.
Yes, it is better them OEM M2C suspension, but that is not even close to MPS. What is the best suspension for M2CS for spirited driving on poor roads like those in UK + occasional track days? Which one would be the best regardless of the price price? |

Same as for M2C, I bet. From a practical standpoint, find someone to code out the adaptive, throw out the redundant wiring and sensors, and... install whatever you'd install in a M2C.

1) Yes and no. The only difference is that the damn splitter on the CS sits so low. And I may think that the best way to go is that the car is not lowered same 20 mm as it was with M2C. 2) Given that the MP coilovers are not offered as an option for CS as additional equipment approved by BMW, there is no point to stick to MP coilovers and you have a broader choice: - KW V3 - KW V4 - Ohlins Road and Track - This Linchfield Nitron or whatever it is |

The Litchfield spring rates are a massive contributor to this, along with the damper rates of the Nitron's. I found MPerf were still "bouncy" on soft settings on UK bumpy roads. I took my car on track to test the new Litchfield Nitron's and they performed great, perfect for the odd track day a year. Very easy to stiffen the dampers with a few clicks of the adjusters ready for a track day. |

I think only nitrons come with camber plates? It's always been a part of their coilover sets?
I ask because my insurers previously told me sports suspension is fine but nothing with camber plates. I'm waiting for litchfield to get back to me on monday as only out of office reply so far. Good to hear you feel they trump AST and MPS on the B roads in the UK. I suppose if they're good on our roads they'd be good on almost any road too! Went for a small Roadstr convoy drive today, the car does rock side to side and shocks can crash into the cabin but stock suspension not as bad as it's made out to be by some. Just looking for an upgrade in the truest sense right now, not because i'm unhappy with stock especially. I just think modifiying a car should be done earlier then enjoy the car as much as possible. My previous car I modded it for maybe a year before I moved to the M2 and wished i'd done it all sooner! Still good to get to know your car stock though. |

So do I understand it correctly, that Litchfield Nitron’s perform better on M2C than KW V3 (MPerfomance) and Ohlins R&T? |

Is your install date in June because Litchfield does not have the Nitron kit available currently? I ask as I have have been trying to contact them to order this but not having much luck. I don't see this specific kit available in their shopping section. I'm searching for the best most compliant suspension option. Thanks,

I e-mailed them several times with no response, then reached out via Messenger. I did get a response on messenger and they indicated they had not received my e-mail and asked me to try again. I did that and received a response via Messenger that they received the e-mail and would respond. A few weeks went by with no response and I e-mailed again. They indicated e-mail was the best way to communicate. I'm in the U.S. and that makes sense with the time difference.
I'm starting to feel like I'm being a pest, which I'd rather no be. I'm thinking maybe they just don't have these in stock right now?

Any reviews out there comparing the Nitron & Bilstein options side by side?
Or, are the spring rates the same and dampening tuned similarly enough bn them that it’s really just down to cost and the additional adjustability on the Nitron’s? |
