Collected my M2C today: old school LBB with 437s
Placed order what seemed like an age ago and have been counting down the days. I’ve changed between HSS and LBB several tones and it got to the point where I couldn’t change my mind any more and LBB stuck. While I don’t mind 788s on HS I don’t like them on LBB and I felt ultimately that HD was too much of a risk having never seen it and in many photos it doesn’t seem to flatter the shape of the M2. I’ve always liked LBB on the OG M2 and knew I couldn’t go wrong with it so stuck with a spec I knew would work. I did see my first HS at the dealer when I picked my LBB up today and suffice to say, it looked great in the flesh.
Anyway - my LBB is a 6MT, and it replaces both a M140i and a Z4M. It’s nothing like the M140 - feels so much more exotic even at low speeds, and everything from turn in to throttle response is so much better. I’d been worried about not having adaptive but in the 25 miles I’ve done, it seems absolutely fine and quite compliant - more so than sport setting in the 140. So far, so good. More when I’ve done a few miles. Last edited by M2CLBB437M; 11-17-2018 at 01:54 PM.. Reason: Photo |

Love LBB. Like you, I was debating between HS and LBB, but found HS to ultimately too....tame?
Interesting that you went OG with the 437's. I want to spec mine in LBB, MT, Exec, Sunroof, and find me a mint set of 666's. If possible, would love to see more pics, please! |

beautiful! just like mine. LBB, 6MT, wheels 437, optional seats and mine also brakes, but no sunroof. I've seen the HS in the dealer and I did not like it

A few more pics from today. It's like chalk and cheese from my old M140i - which wa s great appliance but not an M car. It's also in a different league from my Z4M as a driver's car. I never quite gelled with the Z although it had plenty of character. The M2C is a big surprise in terms of it's ride, which feels so planted and well damped. The LSD is great, as is the steering. I'd been worried by reports of the engine noise but it sounds great, to my ears - almost 911 like at times. Loving it to bits so far.

Whoa that fisheye lens makes the M2 look every more stubby. Nice choice, my 17 M2 was LBB with 437M's. I just wasn't sure I wanted that similar look for another 2-3 years. I went with HS without ever seeing it in person.
