What do you pay for Insuring your M2C?

Stemming from a discussion in a different thread...I got to wondering if I was paying a lot for insurance. So I thought I would start this thread to get a general idea.

I am not looking for specific details as your business is yours, but just a general discussion on what people pay to insure their M2C.

When I bought my M2C my insurance literally doubled from my Jeep. I have a clean record, excellent credit and multiple cars on my policy. I replaced a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited ($48K MSRP new) with my 2020 M2C ($62K MSRP new).

For my M2c insurance with full required Missouri requirements and a $500 deductible for both comprehensive and collision at 12K mileage annually is:
Monthly - $163
6 Month - $975
Annual - $1,950

Please chime in and let me know if I am sitting about where I should be or am I paying "way to much for car insurance"

23 years old, male, nothing on my record. M2C + Miata is $137 a month. The Miata is only $3.60 of that. I have full coverage on the M2 with $1000 deductible, all through Progressive.

I pay about $1500 annually for the M2C, but I have multiple cars insured, property etc, so I do see a discount. Without the discount I would would be right around where you are.

Insurance rates are driven by your location, state laws etc., so your only apples to apples comparison would be people in your area and state

I agree, just looking for a general comparison. Bored and trying to find things to occupy the time.

Jesus christ. You're a mirror image of me with cheaper insurance! I have an M2C and a Mazdaspeed MX-5 but pay way more than that for my insurance. Granted I'm in New York.

I'm in Missouri also.

I pay $902 a year ($75.17 a month) with $1000 deductibles and roadside assistance.

But on my policy I have a home, and 3 other cars, so that helps.

I'm 49 with no tickets.

EDIT: I live in a smaller town, approx 40,000 people.

Mine went up by $70/month when I added the M2C to a policy covering two other cars.

I'm 37, bundle with my wife's car and homeowners insurance. The M2C is like $80 a month. I live in the Pacific NW BTW. To get a cheap rate, i would suggest bundling as much as you can. If you can get multiple cars on there and homeowners or renters insurance, it all adds up and you get the biggest savings. This is with All State.

I pay approximately $600 a year for full coverage on my M2C. Keep in mind I am in my mid 40’s own a lot of vehicles and other toys on the policy as well as two homes. My vehicles are kept in a heated locked garage and I am in rural part of PA. My new X5 50i M-Sport is also at a good rate. My wife’s new A4 is like $389 a year. State Farm.

I'm in Oregon and I found insurance is oddly expensive here (it doubled when I moved from the DC area). That said...

For the M2C bundled with 2 other vehicles, homeowners, and umbrella I pay $450 for 6 months. $1,000 collision/$100 comprehensive deductibles, no accidents, no tickets, my wife and I are in our early 40s.

Moose are more likely to steal convertibles though. Not enough antler room in the M2.

That's what I thought...certainly not Metro Portland pricing!

You'd be surprised how similar the cost of living is to Portland, including insurance. Property tax was the only large savings and everything else was a wash. And of course my beer consumption expenses increased markedly here so that didn't help save any money either...

Thats cheap, you should see what the rates are in Michigan.

I have pretty much the same insurance, my M2, 2 other vehicles, HOI, and umbrella. My M2 is roughly $800 for 6 months. I'm in my late 30's and my fiance is in her early 40s, no accidents/tickets.

Michigan has the highest insurance rates in the country.
