I love how the tire squeal sounds like a tie-fighter.

Furthermore it is the first time that I think that the M2 doesn't sound like an N55. Maybe someone else can compare this short clip with the other ones.

Sounds a lot like the N55 with MPE in the last video, except with more backfire on downshifts. Interesting camo-ed attachments on the front of the roof and the top of the trunk.

Looking great. Nice and compact.

This really has to be the final major rounds of testing. Good thing because I was starting to calculate F80 payments and how much it would cost to supercharge the e36

I have the patience of a 2 year old

That really would be the ideal time to buy IMO. But that is also a whopping 2 years from now.

I don't like that noise/vibration on downshifts, sounds so weird. But I'm sure I could learn to enjoy it

Damn, so you really did it. What a sad day. But no turning back now!

You picked a color yet?

I saw an F80 in the flesh yesterday (I don't see many here in North Dallas) and was reminded of how much I love that car. I still think one will find its way into my future at some point...or the M2...but tt looked good and even sounded good, albeit at close range and lower revs.

I'm not going to lie...the waiting took the M2 off my list. I completely understand that BMW will release info when they determine that it is the right time to do so...but they certainly also lost a repeat customer when I went the 981 route.

It certainly wasn't all based on the waiting and lack of info on the M2, but that played a role for sure.

Yeah, I actually did it. Sold her to a cool dude up in Seattle so she's gone to a good home.

I'm going with Mineral Gray. On the fence about a couple of other things, I'll just have to see how things option out.

I love the F80. When I look at it from the perspective that it's a mini M5, I like it. When I look at it as an old school BMW M3, not so much. She's just too big. Not to mention if I do go with Fire Orange, that'll probably be $15k more than the M2 I'm planning to build. That's more than what I purchased the E36 for! I have to be somewhat realistic

As far as the M2, the wait is definitely wearing on me as well. But then I read about the praise that the 2er platform has gotten, it's really hard to argue just how good the M2 is going to be. Hell, the 2er replaced the 3er in Car & Driver's Top 10 list after how many decades? There's no doubt that the M2 is starting from one hell of a good platform. After waiting this many YEARS for the M2, I'd be crazy to bail now

Plus all I have to do is look my desktop background:

Glad to hear buddy! I'm not debating whether I should even bother with waiting for LCI for potentially getting LED's.

Speaking of which, I gotta take my E92 out for a spin this weekend. I haven't driven her in almost 2 weeks

Every time I see a picture like this, I laugh that they even bother putting camo on the badge.

I don't know about you guys but this new tune must be pretty extensive, and it will probably be controversial. If this is the n55 then they have been hitting the sound engineering hard, In tune. I hear a lot of fuel overrun tweaks, similar to the b58's tuning. Post shift tuning may be the same but they definitely changed quite a bit.

I for one am on board, I've always wanted to mess with overun on my n54 but don't have the time or resources. It's more refined than the jag/CLA style, which is good.

I would be surprised if this wasn't the n55, since all factors point to n55. This sound on the other hand doesn't. Either the "character" tuning is extensive or it's not the n55.
