No matter your position on the M2 CS, I think we can all agree with this. It was an unnecessarily long and drawn out process and ultimately anticlimactic due to corona.

(note: the comments on YouTube are hilarious) (nicked music track: Marvin Gaye - "'T' Stands For Trouble")

I'm surprised bmw hasn't pushed up the press reviews since we are at a standstill. I came across these articles, which I thought were an interesting perspective. Some will say it's not the same thing, but I see it fairly apples to apples.

The GTS is a costly upgrade, that isn't a significant upgrade, but seems to make things more enjoyable. Yet, folks still buy them instead of just adding stickier rubber to an S.

Not a good 'leading indicator' if one were to look at it that way. Then again poor Spain has been hit so hard lately that perhaps that was impetus. Hard to get excited about car buying in times like these...

On that note, sharing a Hagerty article on COVID-19 and the potential impact on the collector car market:

I think so too. The new Vett is also taking away any leftover enthusiasm for this car.

I believe somewhere in this long thread we exchanged some posts about differentials. I really put the GTS torque vectoring to task today on some serious BFI ‘twisties.’ Absolutely the perfect combination of ‘slip and grip.’

I was chasing my buddy in his GT 350 – I am being kind in my use of ‘chasing.’ At any rate, I accrued some serious new front-end paint and windshield ‘war wounds’ during the festivities. To boot, when arriving back near my home, some old geezer rolled into my rear-end at a stop light. Of course, his Camry was no worse for wear, but I now have a nice rear bumper ‘scar’ to add to my collection. Felt bad for the dude and figured I would not pursue paint repair anyway, so I just bid him a ‘good day.’

Just a car, and I am trying to stock-up on good Karma during these testing times.

Stay safe brother

You're a good dude. Karma's a real thing. I had a similar situation happen a few years back and it's just not worth it. Some day you, your wife, or kids will do the same to someone else and you'll want to receive the same grace...

Hard for type-A car fanatics to swallow, but it's the right thing to do in the situation!

Interesting thanks Dave, I wonder if there's more shuffling of the pack to be done?

The South Africa configurator is now live. They would be in the RHD production run.

Sadly the CS configurator is such a let down due to lack of options. There's nothing to play with. I wish they would just open up allocations so that we can move forward with looking forward to delivery or other options.

Singapore looks to be getting in on the action.

The U.K. configurator has standard OG M2 seats and blue interior stitching too!

Hopefully that do something a little more put together when it goes live here, but I doubt it. They could screw with people by offering individual color in the configurator. At least it would give us something to do. The BMW USA m models page might be in the process of being changed as I can't open it.

Got this today from the dealer even though I won't get it until December / January. Maybe even that is optimistic now! I guess they have some time on their hands in this difficult time. I hope my sales guy still has his job. Anyway, it was some sort of bright point to look forward to amidst all this gloom.

I know....that was my point that the UK configurable was not very good for M2 CS. It had the centre armrest delete and all the CS bits but blue stitching and with normal seats.
