Almost at 1200 miles with the M2C. This car is amazing, and I think I've shed the new car jitters and over-cautiousness (aka anal), and I'm loving this car. The weather gods have been extremely graceful for an early Spring (or lack of winter) here in DC and I've been able to enjoy my car quite a bit.
So, I'm thinking of scheduling my break-in service for Friday. I'll let you guys know if I feel any of the following: Additional 50 HP Louder exhaust noise Better braking Increased carbon fiber trim On a serious note, how many of you dont let the dealer wash your M after service? Ordinarily I take the free wash, but this in the M. But then again, they washed it at delivery, right? |

EDIT: You updated right as I typed out the above lol. I didn't let the dealer wash my car, as typically they're obviously prone to scratches. Plus the less stupid teenagers hopping in the car the better. |

Also, I have a particular set of products that I use. I've seen in the past how deviating from your chosen products can result in the car looking "misty" and losing the incredible gloss I've worked to achieve. Yes I fully admit I'm obsessive. It must look good as they parked the car outside the showroom entry door last time. Bonus as it was in the shade. |

No, I'm not anal. The M2 just happened to turn 1200 as I pulled up for my break-in service

Not sure how long you've been in the area, but VOB used to operate from the now temporary service building. Then they built the showroom next door, and service down the street. Then literally within a few years they tore the new building down and are making the mega facility next door. They've been expanding fast |

When I picked up my MY20. BSM. It had never been touched by the dealer and I drove it home put it in my garage and PDI the car myself. Right now the car has PPF over the front end- my car is currently sitting in my garage waiting for me do a paint correction. Giving my car was never touched by the dealer and I can tell the difference. Went over my paint with a high power LED light and find to behold BMW factory did an amazing job keep light scratches and spiderwebs off the paint. I was very impressed to find how well the paint looks directly from BMW. So I'm only doing a light correction. But again I'm OCD on my cars. |

Happy 4th Birthday to my beast
Cant believe she hits 4 years old today!! I've driven the best 28,000 miles of my life. Never imagined I'd buy a 2 series chassis until I saw the M2. It was love at first sight and I thought about this car for a couple of years. Now all I ever want to do is drive smaller and lighter cars! Still drives as well as it did new, maybe better. Still looks like the best car on the road, and I cant stop looking back at it!
