I think they'll price it to compete with the cayman gts. And I think misano looks like mexico blue… or even the nitrous blue of the focus rs.

The Nitrous is probably closest, Mexico is a little punchier and has no metallic. It's like a more saturated Yas Marina Blue.

I'm sure the M2CS will be a great car, but in 1-2 years time there is likely to be a more enhanced and limited version of the CS that comes out and many people are going to be kicking themselves wishing they had waited for that. Many will sell their CS and purchase the newer version, blah, blah, blah. It's all part of a big corporate money making / marketing scheme (if they can get the price right on the M2CS) and we are all the puppets dancing to BMW's tune.
Me personally, I pick up my M2C on Friday () and I'm buzzing. This is going to be a long term 5-10 year project for me to use on track, I.e. I'll likely end up tuning it to 500bhp, adding a new crank hub, stripping the inside, etc, etc. It'll be a great track weapon. I'm really happy with my lot and I won't get suckered in to buying a newer version of the M2C because of the hype on Bimmperpost or because it's the chance to own a limited run like the e46 CSL, hoping it will appreciate in value in 10-15 years by 30-40%. Some people, including myself, need to know when to stop and be happy with what they have.

I would much rather them spend the money improving the actual car instead of adding carbon fiber body panels, wheels you can already buy, and restoring the power they were restricting before. At least invest in a new muffler design... |

Anyone notice that the CS is rocking the carbon fiber M Performance trunk from the Competition parts catalog, same goes for the hood..
I see BMW is putting all those carbon fiber pieces that they spent all that R&D on, to work.. More than likely it will have those red coilovers from MP lineup.. It's going to be a Parts Bin Queen.. 👸🏻 The bright blue under the camouflage looks like a very exotic color.. |

Also, I doubt they were going to design a new spoiler when this lightweight duckbill MP trunk it's already finished and was never utilized. |

If you look closely the spoiler on the CS sits a little higher than the integrated spoiler on the MP trunk. My guess is that's it's a new part

The integrates spoiler of the MP trunk sits further back and flows with the lines of the trunk edge. That lighter blue is the confirmed misano blue.

Don’t need to design a new spoiler just use the one in the parts bin used for M3/4 CS If they have already shown the car with the M Performance boot/trunk then why wrap it camouflage |

I also heard but don't quote me, that the M4 CS spoiler would not fit the M2's trunk. I mean they could copy the style and fit it to the 2 series frame but why when there is a light carbon fiber truck just sitting there, completed.. #AnyonesGuess |

So the real question is, is this the M2's last hurrah, or is this just the US model, and will a CSL be coming to the rest of the world soon? (As rumored in the CS/CSL threads)

I want a 6MT M2CS like indicated here. As base as possible. No CCB. But will 6MT be offered in Europe? Who knows. I have my fingers crossed. Lets hope BMW will show something in Geneva next week.

Difference between base F80 and F87 is roughly 10k. Difference between F80 CS and F87 CS would also be roughly 10k. Or Difference between base F80 and CS is roughly 30k. So difference between base (comp) F87 and F87 CS is roughly 30k. Plus or minus a few grand.

Most likely, if ever, they'll create a CLS on the next generation CLAR architecture, which is already showing some impressive reduction in frame weight for the new Z4 and 7 series. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_CLAR_platform |

Interesting development this! Great to read there is finally more information. All in all, I am not fussed anymore. Damn thing will be expensive, and I don't see myself going down that route.
The statement that the car is coming this year is rather bold. Knowing all the information that is available in this forum, I think it is better to say that it will happen next year, not this year... MR |

The first plan was to make an entry level M car with the 1M en M2.
The M2 is already so expensive you can t call it entry level anymore. The 1M was something like 51.000 euro to start with in germany. I think you pay 62000 euro for a competition. Now with the CS even more. If you compare the driving with the 1M. The 1M is more fun. Short wheelbase and lighter. I have an M2 competition. It is a heavy car you can feel it. Fun cars needs to be small en nimble. 1M was a good example how it s done. |

Your definition of simple is very different than mine then..., if a shop does this first thing I would want to test is water tightness and noise/rattle...

I think that that price for a 6MT M2C, it's an absolute bargain.
