I've got 6k miles on my beloved. Now that I understand the limits, or better said near limitless, nature of the vehicle, I'm tapping into DSC off. Perhaps I'm getting ballsy, but the dynamics of the car seem more balanced when off. Could be total psycho-somatic, but the nannies were starting to piss me off. Especially around tight corners when I know the precisely engineered mechanics would keep me in check and my keen skills attained form Project Cars and Forza on my pc (lol). Keep in mind, I had a C5 ZO6 in a former life, which was uncontrollable with the nannies off and driving like an asshole, I blame the insane instantaneous NA torque on the vette, not me of course.
Just curious if anyone feels the same, or the aforementioned delusional fantasy. |

DCT = Dual Clutch Transmission
I think what you meant to say was DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) or DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) |

DSC completely off, you should only use it off road; in emergency maneuvers with it off, if you don't know how to counter-steer or panic, you could spin out the back end. A lot of fun off road in the snow, scary in the public streets, in front of cops...

I don't like driving in the semi traction mode due to the horrible throttle response and the crazy drone you get and I'm not ballsy enough to drive with everything off. I find that Sport Plus with Euro MDM coded in is the perfect setting. The sound is amazing and the throttle response is great so that's how I drive 99% of the time. I think you are feeling the back end help you do some of the turning. Its an addictive feeling. Once you get used to it, you will be going through tires quickly. After a while, turns start to call to me "I might be drift-able, come on, try me"

Wish bimmercode could handle it. Perhaps the author doesn't want the liability.

I rented an M2 about a month ago for a day, while waiting for my own, ordered M2 to arrive from Germany.
Took my daughter to the school bus early in the morning (around 6:20am) in the rented (Turo) M2, and, with a three lane street completely empty before me, and the sun just starting to rise, I turned off DSC off, and floored it pretty hard. Car took off and then fish tailed rather abruptly! My 13 year old was NOT amused... although I kind of laughed. The street was completely empty, I was just sorry that I gave my daughter a scare. Just be aware of the power these cars have, if you're going to turn off the nannies... the street was completely empty when I accidentally fish tailed the car, but if there had been other cars on the street, or moderately heavy traffic, it could have ended badly! |

It was a blast, but again, I had my young daughter in the car, who's not into cars, and for some reason, she didn't find it as fun as I did My two older kids would have been laughing hysterically! |

I find the nannies to be way too intrusive, even in sport plus. It really hinders the natural rotation of the car at times or cuts power when when the rear skips over small imperfections on the road. I do find myself with DSC off around town very frequently

While I really felt the differences between comfort and sport modes, but I am not sure about sport + except that it takes the DSC off (EU car), also I tested fuel consumption indicator seems to increase in different modes, also from sport to sport +. What else do you see as a difference between sport and sport + (I know there is already a lot said, feature tables published and others), I am more interested to get the feedback from a driving point of view. Thanks |

Honestly, would only go TIMYOYO on a skid pad unless you are very experienced. like race car driver experienced. Maybe on a track if I wasn't worried about possible damage and chewing up tires.
Please don't do it on public roads. The rest of us have to use those too. |
