All the intercoolers are mentioned are 5" , they are not considered large intercoolers.

For a stock car i would not go over 5"

Sorry I meant bigger when compared to the stock. So just to clarify, no downsides then?

Looking for intercooler as next mod. Running Hex Stage 2 and catless downpipe. VRSF, CSF, Wagner? Recommendations? CSF and Wagner both seem to be bar and plate. I'm mostly gonna be daily driving, but don't want something that'll heat soak if I take it to the track.

Thanks! How concerned should I be about bar and plate's slowness to cool quickly once it's heat soaked compared to tube/fin?

Hi Mike, I had ordered the Wagner Evo Comp 2 FMIC from you site (last week). Never received a shipping notification, sent a message thru your site requesting ETA but didnt receive a reply. I just went on to your chat and now they are telling me 3 weeks before it ships. There was no mention on the webpage or when I ordered that this item was backordered. Disappointed in the lack of communication. I have all my parts ready to be installed except the FMIC.

Send me a pm with your order and we can discuss different options.

I'm in the same boat. I ordered the exact same IC from x-ph.com on 5/6 and never received any shipment confirmation. Over a week later I sent an e-mail and was told they wouldn't be in stock until the end of June. Thankfully, I'm patient and can wait (almost 2 months!) but it would have been nice to either see an "out-of-stock" indication on the website or at least received some type of proactive e-mail saying when they expected to get them back in stock without me having to inquire.

Hi,
It would be nice to have the website track inventory automatically. That being said its almost impossible to do so since we stock products in our warehouse, drop ship from manufacturer USA location, drop ship from manufacture Germany location, use different distributors if no other option is available.

If we dont have it, then 99.99% its not available anywhere.

Update

I am looking to replace stock Inter cooler for street use only and will be changing charge pipe and other pipes when installing FMIC.

Not really looking at track options at this point and having Remus Sports exhausted installed with Cold Air Intake upgrade.

Also, Since car has 3K miles I am not looking at tune for while.

Just wanted to chime in with a couple customer logs and dyno results with the VRSF Race intercooler. This customer showed a 3 degree temperature drop throughout a 3 gear pull which we have yet to see with any core currently available on the market.

VRSF Race Intercooler - N55 F30 335i
75° Ambient | 2-4 Gear Pull | Start 89° - End 86°

21hp & 33tq peak gains with over 50hp/tq gained in the mid range.

We also recently upgraded all of our existing F30 intercoolers to our HD cores (high density fin pack) which offers a larger overall surface area for heat absorption internally and heat dispersion externally. We also have a new mid tier sized intercooler about to be launched to bridge the gap in size and pricing between the VRSF street and race intercoolers.

Any recommended intercooler that would be ideal with a stock car with just fabspeed sport cat but with also room to grow with future tune and fbo?

VRSF 5in stepped street HD core FMIC, drop in oem fit
http://www.vr-speed.com/vrsf-interco...i-n20-n55.html

For FBO and hot climates then maybe, but the bay area is not super brutal heat wise
