Yeah, my first thoughts were that it has a larger overhang than the F87, and the rear end seems even taller and rounder.

There's probably some extra paneling on the front bumper to hide its shape that would stick out more, so I wouldn't worry about the overhang too much. Hopefully they're not hiding a similar bumper to what's on the new M3/4 though.

The sides look flat like an Audi. Roof rails means no CS style roof. I'm trying not to be negative but it does look kinda big and chunky.

While I'm not a big fan of these spy shots, I just wonder how much they are hiding with the camouflage? If it's not a lot, then I'm not too interested.

This is the supposed camo-less G42 2 series.

Judging by centered the radar is compared to the m3&m4 don't this will be apart of the #GrillGate. Again I'll have to wait until the full debut.
Also looks like it's pushing into former 4 series sizing.

I would say those fender flares and power dome are a pretty good start

I think it's pretty clear it won't quite look like the stout aggressive muscular bulldogish hooligan than the f87 does...quite simply because it's a longer car
it's just like the e92 doesn't look as aggressive as the f87...a little length matters |

Raise your hand if you are a current 2 series owner and you've thought "I would like a new gen 2-series but I sincerely hope it will be bigger and weighs more than the current model"
I'll never understand.. Last edited by robertm; 03-02-2021 at 07:52 AM.. |

Might be an unpopular opinion but I'm moving over to Porsche after. I think our F87 M2/M2C/M2CS is the last proper M car BMW makes/made.

Inspired by the comment above me: Question to the folks who plan to keep the F87 for a long time.... does the prospect of owning an M car out of warranty worry you?
