Which is fine by BMW...if you want an M2, that's what you're going to get, limited options be damned. Right M3 Adjuster?

Because customers complained. BMW added the following to appease customers ... while adding some profit into the deal for themselves via a $5k " M Tax " . -" M seats " -" M mirrors " -" M brakes " that won't turn green - " M buttons " - an "M motor " - Sunroof as an option in the USA because it was already being offered in North America in Canada as well as many parts of the rest of the world. All of these add ons/updates above were items simply taken out of the production bins of other vehicles, meaning very little development and increased profit. Not slamming the parts bin approach , it's been successful on many cars, but it is a cost saving approach. I agree with you ... one would think that a hardcore version would come -without- a sunroof but hey .. this really isn't that hardcore a car now is it ? It's a daily driver with many creature comforts including power seats. The complainers still aren't happy by the way .. They still want HUD Carbon fiber roof Carbon ceramic brakes available as an option Glossy carbon fiber Anything else not on the M2 that is on the M4. |

Wow. Stunning. And my biased opinion hasn't said that for any M car since 2011. Car is beautiful and I really like what they did for wheels, offset and design look perfect, kinda like modern 359 comp wheels. I hope it's as good as it looks.

Both the OG M2 and M2C are rather portly.

The idea is that you don't want weight up high because it will make the car roll more in turns, I think. Another bad place would be un-sprung weight like the wheels. Can you tell the difference when driving between a slick top and the extra weight of the moon roof? Shrug.
