Believe me linear throttle is a good thing and the S55 has only a little turbo lag. Better and easier to modulate the pedal in performance applications

Dont get me wrong I think your problem with the zipiness of the car has to do with the size how its a much wider longer more refined luxury car than the VW. Which as a result makes you feel like the car is not as zippy and insulates you. But it is a far more savage car than the VW in every way you will learn to love it.

On a side note of you want the turbo lag to come back throw a JB4 in there and then you will see it return.
good points all around.. but keep in mind that OP hasn't gone over 4500 rpm... so those turbos aren't even spooling up yet... he hasn't hit overboost... this is like a baby taking it's first steps walking..

Super grateful to the OP for taking time out of his incredible experience to give all of us waiting impatiently for our build week something to get us even MORE excited. Pictures and write-ups are amazing, even if the break-in period isn't... How does it feel to be the envy of so many people AROUND THE WORLD??

To tease us all, OP even posted a video of what technically qualifies as "la petite mort".

Manual feel?

Lotus99, looking at purchasing the exact same car with same options. Was curious how the manual felt. Currently in a DCT. Manual before that was an Audi S4 so not great. Prior to that all three series. Do you feel the engine mates well with it in this set up?

how well do YOU Mate with the 6MT is the question you need an answer to .

.. and perhaps start here first.

M2 owners regrets for MT or DCT https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1504319

But what you really should take a good hard look in the mirror or go see a psychic.. because those are the only two people that can tell you how YOU will like it .. no matter how well those two inanimate items .. a motor and a transmission "mate."

I agree, in order to achieve maximum performance and driving pleasure from a manual transmission you need to be able to shift at the appropriate time which is not always convenient in traffic if you are maneuvering fast lane changes and watching out for the idiots cutting you off etc. An experienced manual shifter will be able to do all of that at the same time. Someone not so experienced or not really into shifting will just push the throttle to the floor without finding the correct gear resulting in sub par performance. DCT does all the thinking for you and will enable you to launch through traffic effortlessly. I ordered the manual.

Hi

I just know for M2C, dont know for other production. But in most cases when your car is being finished the delivery is in about 7-14 days

If someone else has different experience, feel free to share.

Thanks for the updates Lotus99. I love my current M2, but living vicariously through you; reading your experience with your new M2C. I pretty much like everything about the M2C now, as far as looks, and the new wheels & kidney grills have grown on me.

It also sounds really good also, even better than I thought. I never had a issue with the sound of the S55 in the M3/M4, but your exhaust sounds better IMO. It seems like BMW made improvements in that area as well.

Question for the OP, how easy is it to access the rear seats?

Since you said you picked it up with your 10 year old, I assume he is getting in and out of the rear seat a lot. I have a 6 year old and a 9 year old that I will be transporting around. Wasn't sure, with the new seats in the M2 Comp, how easy it was to get in and out of the rear seats. Is it quick and easy to slide the front seat forward to get out from the back or do you have to sit there pressing a button and wait (painfully) for the seat the move itself forward and then repeat this painfully long process to move it back?

Thanks!

Same question here! Hopefully it is a manual (inter)action, even with the electric seats.
