Reminds me of the m2 and Porsche 718 comparison.

Not a fan of the Alpine's lights - M2C looks a lot better, more aggressive.

The Alpine sounds pretty good though...

It's all subjective but for a supposedly great car the 110A front lights are horrendous.

I would be a whole lot more receptive to the A110 if a manual option was available. Right now it's just another nice automatic sports car that I'd pass on driving much less buying.

Did I miss something I really don’t get how the 2 cars compare. One is mid engine 2 seater much lighter and less practical, the other front engine rear wheel drive and seats 4 adults in comfort. The only thing comparable is the price

Not to mention a weight difference of over 1000 lbs. Not really comparable cars at all.

That Alpine is such a joke, after months and months of following the car's progress, the designers kept insisting how their focus was on making the car "for the purist" and "for people that enjoy driving" and how "we do not care about lap times".

Then, they slap a silly DCT only....even when they admitted that the manual was lighter, they still went ahead. I really hate what they did, that DCT just ruined the whole idea behind the car for me.

They do not own us anything, and they obviously can release a product anyway they wish, but as Die ///M Rakete said, it is just another auto sports car.

I think it depends on what one is looking for... For me, the M2C will be a 3rd, weekend-ish fun car without many real practical needs so trade-offs between it and GT350, Camaro of some sort, a TBD resto-mod, RS3, Vette, a new bike, even the Alpine, a trailer and couple wave runners, etc make sense to me.

It's really just a toy, in other words, and I'm looking for something a bit different than what I already have. Call it ADHD, short attention span, or something else, but in that light maybe the comparison makes sense?

Unfortunately you are not correct! In this instance Alpine engineers have stated that the DCt gearbox they used is lighter than the manual.

I agree with you guys I hate auto boxes including DCTs but just wanted to correct you...

I would still much rather have the A110.

I take you point it depends on what your looking for but they are 2 different cars, in my opinion it’s like comparing apples and oranges.

Those in the market looking to buy an alpine A110 are Unlikely to see the M2 as an alternative and vice versa. I’m sure it would be the minority. Don’t get me wrong Renault are renowned for making great handling cars so not disputing its capabilities

I'm sure it's a great car but this is the first thing I thought of when I saw it...

What is it with you and your love of the scared cat front end?

I jest, I jest...for the record, I think the 1M looks better from the front than this thing for sure (and that is the only weakness for the 1M's looks, IMO), as the Alpine screams toy car to me...fair or not.

A110 is the better alternative of the Alfa 4C.
Not a direct rival of the M2C as the concepts are totally different.
The design of the A110 is clearly based on the original model, but the final product is not that attractive.

They lost me as a buyer as soon as they deviated massively from the concept car and didn't offer manual.

M2 csl should be a better match for the A110 - especially if they significantly reduce the weight instead of 150 pound gain
