The hood, lighter battery, and roof were already on my list, especially as port install accesories (hood and roof). All three together saves 28kg or around 61lbs weight.

Already have the lighter AP Racing BBK to save around 55lbs over stock BBK that comes standard with the M2C. So I'm already looking at 115+lbs weight savings. And this is without factoring in the exhaust. It should be around 135+lbs savings with the exhaust. Already back to OG M2 weight spec

Kind of reminds me of the wicker material that they use for chairs, tables, etc.

Just some mental math:
4.5K for roof
6.5K for hood
6K for MPE
5K for BBK
battery? fuck it..for free

22K to shed 135 lbs

World Premiere at Goodwood: The BMW M Performance Parts Concept Based on M2

They did this on a Pre LCI car? M performance front carbon kidney grilles and I wonder how much for all of those seats.

If prices are that high, I'll skip port install and buy the hood at invoice and have my local body shop paint it. In US, invoice prices are about 20% cheaper than list (MSRP) prices. Roof is the only item I might not do if port install isn't available by the time my car reaches the port or if the prices are crazy high as you mentioned.

Also, I'm not getting MPE either if it's more than $5K. There are several other options again in US for half the price and you get little bit of performance benefit too in addition to weight savings

What color will the black calipers will turn when they overheat....

They sound very LOW maintenance to me compared to the current little blues, Big Reds, Big Silvers, or the Carbon Ceramic Goldies...

because it is a concept of the M2.. not a concept of the M2 Competition..

why a concept of the M2.. when there are plenty of versions of the M2 competition being splashed all over these forums with all the M performance kit ... ?

To show that all the same M performance kit WILL fit on an M2.... so if you want to build your own..... have at it!

IDK, those seat bottoms sure look like the CS Sportsters I have in my car.
SPARCO SPX reclining seat. Very expensive. They cost considerably more than recaro sportster

I've read somewhere that this concept car is also equipped with a lighter battery.

MR, would you mind asking what the weight of that battery is and if it will be for sale later on?

Carbon Roof

But the carbon roof of the M2 or M2C will be all in carbon fiber, or is only finished?:

"The M Performance carbon fibre roof in clear carbon-fibre finish is especially impressive (expected to be available from 3/2019)..."

Thanks

All carbon fiber. That just means how it appears with resin on top compared to the open poor inside the car

They should fit. They're huge, expensive and heavy though.

But they sit real nice. I had a set in my previous car.

They can keep the seats! They don't look much more supportive than the stock seats. Please, BMW, give us a real folding bucket seat! Or a fixed bucket like the M4 GTS has. Take a clue from Porsche while we're at it:
