Not sure how common it is but I'd seen posts in the past about other owners hearing a grinding noise and discovering this. Since the 2NH brakes have virtually no clearance w the hub up front, even the smallest pebble can wedge in there. Only reason I noticed it was because I pulled the wheel. If you want to irritate yourself you could probably check w a flashlight. Mine was really minor but I'm sure it can be a lot worse.

The shop called and told me that there is a lot of damage on the front bumper but I told them to just do the PPF. I was heading to the track for two days and wanted it all done that morning before I left. I was still glad I got it done as my bumper took a lot more debris damage that weekend, but the PPF really showed all the imperfections my paint had taken over the past year when I went to wash it. Was sad I let it get to that point. Anyways...4-5k investment in PPF to last 5-10 yrs and maintain a crisp paint job vs living with beat up paint from 1-5 years of ownership and then paying 5-10k for a new paint job. I won't make that mistake this time. My 21' will get PPF done on the bumper , hood, and windshield that same weekend it arrives. After a few months I'll get paint correction done and finish getting PPF on the fenders and doors.

I know you are not obsessive about the aesthetics. However, I believe you are intending long-term ownership? If that is the case, it MIGHT be worth the PPF? Although I do not care about accumulation of war wounds, I will also admit I have never taken on any long-term ownership plans. If I did plan to keep a car more than a couple years I MIGHT consider investing in PPF? ///AVM |

Yet, I own M2C. Why? Really not sure, but I do know I enjoy the M2C a lot! Would I enjoy the F82 equally, if not more? Maybe, but I have no regrets. ///AVM |

I find it looks so much more elegant, plus, you could get it with high-tier red leather seats and a manual.. What's there not to love.. |

I said 'Maybe, but I have no regrets.' After further consideration, I should have said, 'Probably, but I have no regrets.' Point being, the F82 M4 is one sweet-ass ride! . . . which i think is your sentiment as well ///AVM |

Not today, but KW V3's and M Performance front lip are on!
Patiently waiting for my 763M's (black) + CF steering wheel trim to arrive. Then the Dinan exhaust... |

You are steeling my material brother Seriously, I have said for a long time the ONE piece of architecture lacking on the M2C is the blunted rear quarter (behind the C pillar), which is elongated on the M4. I think you are referencing the actual rear end features, but we are drawn to the same area in need of some tweaking to achieve near perfection with the M2C. Preliminary 'spy pics' suggest BMW has addressed the blunted rear end in designing the G87 . . . appears every bit the G87 is going to be what the M4 was before it went on steroids, and BMW totally fucked the front end. Premature, I know, but I am increasingly pumped about the G87 M2/M2C. Actually, I need another year or two to get the F87 completely out of my system, so the release of the G87 will be perfect timing. ///AVM |
