It's a disorganized mess of a hurricane. I would be surprised if it hit anything close to category 2.

Beautiful here most of the day (typical before a storm). Wind picked up a little and it rained a little about an hour or so ago. Supposed to pick up more later tonight / overnight but overall I’m not expecting much. Will be glad if we never lose power. That’s really the only thing I’m thinking about at this point. Well, that and timing when to take the dogs out in between showers.

I actually had the RV setup up in Fort Pierce at Savannas Recreation Area since last week. Was cleaning it and fixing some stuff etc. Was planning to hang out there with family over the weekend, well that's not happening. Was also left a notice I saw last night that we had to leave the park by 10am today. So spent half the day taking it all down and taking it back to storage. Didn't even have time to look at what the hurricane was doing. As soon as I got home gf had me closing shutters and putting crap from the yard away inside.

Finally get to sit down and see what the hurricane is doing. Total nothing burger. I called it last week that it would stay off shore, now it seems to have also fallen apart. It's pretty ridiculous how the news tries to pump it up.

This.

It's no longer a hurricane. Max sustained winds are 70mph.

Looks like a rainy day for FL. We had the same here in IL all day today. Maybe not as windy.

Barely had any rain or wind in Fort Lauderdale. No one that I knew even bothered prepping for this

We poor folks in the northeast are seeing multi-inch predictions. Damned thing is dragging a bunch of weather north with it too.

I just can't wait to get home and move all my patio furniture and plants so they don't wind up in the pool or through the windows.

I heard some of us may get 6 inches of rain and 70 mph winds depending on where it tracks.

Did nearly nothing here. I hope the predictions for the Northeast are overstated. NBC Nightly News on Friday night started with "70 million at risk!!" but we knew there wasn't much risk here. Mostly just concern about power outages.

Did squat near me also. It rained and it's still raining, but can't say it's any worse than any of the other times it rains in FL in the summer. I did not notice any substantial wind at all.

On the bright side by closing the shutters I noticed I need to clean and paint around the windows on one side of the house. I never go to that side of the house and it's pretty nasty.

They hype everything. People get tired of them being wrong and then when the threat is real, no one believes it.

The year before Sandy, they called two evacuations and the storms went bust. There was a family that lived a few blocks from me on the water. They evacuated the year before and their place got looted. They decided to stay put for Sandy. A storm surge came in and literally pulled the husband, wife and daughter out of the second floor of the house when the water went back out. Two of them died.

My SO had his police radio with him that night. The calls were heartbreaking. People who stayed put were going up to the 2nd floor, then to the roofs calling for help. The streets were flooded with downed power lines and no one could get to them. I will never forget the that night.

Yikes, sorry to hear that. The few bits of rain we did get just seemed like the typical afternoon showers passing through.

I'm not complaining. The reservoirs are a bit low up here, and we've been under average for rain so far this year.

Hit us with your best shot, Tropical Storm E-I-E-I-O!!!!!

We get that numerous times every year here in FL without fail. You basically need to use judgment and err on the side of caution. It was pretty obvious this was not going to be a catastrophic storm but I have 15 gallons of regular unleaded sitting in my garage just in case since they hyped it up on Friday. I moved a handful of things off the patio and moved all patio furniture to the covered part of the patio - no big deal this time.

There have been many I have prepped for only for nothing major to happen. I'd rather prep and there be no storm than not prep and have a surprise. We are far from the coast but anyone near a coastline has to prep like there is no margin for error, because there is none. You always need to leave along the coast if there is a warning of storm surge.

There was no one on the road this morning. Batton down the hatches! And Gov Murphy declared a state of emergency. Should be fun driving over the bridge to go home later.

Tropical Storm Isaias is expected to deliver a powerful punch to New Jersey Tuesday with up to 6 inches of rain in spots and winds gusts up to 75 mph, which could cause widespread flooding and power outages, according to the latest forecast.

Wow. My backyard trees barely moved during the entire time the storm sat offshore in my area. Many thunderstorms produce more action than this storm did. For that, I am thankful.

😂. Your post reminds me of a storm a few years back (I don't remember the name) where a guy in Port St. Lucie or Stuart had a perfectly restored E30 M3 and his house did not have a garage so he opened his front doors (double door) and parked the M3 in the living room and took pictures of himself eating cereal next to the M3. It made the Palm Beach Post and it ended up on Bimmerpost and Bimmerfest. That is true car love.
