Damn I love this car
Bought new 6 years ago, 44k miles later, and I still get pumped getting in and firing it up.
Lately, I’m seeing more and more OG appreciation vids testifying how BMW essentially nailed it the first time. Feeling very lucky to own one right now and thought I’d share. Cheers! |

Same.
I think it's fantastic how close to the mark they came the very first year. Fix a few things they cut corners on in order to keep the MSRP low and not scalp sales from big brother, and you've got a real winner. She's ready. by Andrew Thompson, on Flickr |

This is the best M I have had, and I have had 9 M cars. S50s + S54s + S85

Just rolled over 32,000 and can’t even drive it 3mi down the road to the grocery store without muttering to myself about how much I love it.

I guess I am lucky. I got a slight discount and $2,000 fleet discount when I bought mine new in January 2018.

I traded my 2016 m4 comp for 2018 Og M2
In 2020 and never looked back. I purchased the M4 and loved the top end of the s55. The seats looked better but I feel my basic seats are more comfortable. On track neither are great M2 is just more fun and the n55 with M performance exhaust sound amazing add a sport cat and an intake and it’s a symphony of sound , lol |

Sure it's sitting on 80,000 miles but I knew the second I drove away in it this was a very special and unique M and deserved some love and respect. Totally unlike all the other M's I have known over a very long period of time. |

The OG M2 seems to have the charm and balance of the early BMWs that’s missing in the new models for sure. Feel very lucky to be daily driving such an amazing car!

I’m at 31,900 and it brings a smile to my face today the same way it did when I got her. I’ll drive anywhere for any reason!

I’d like to jump in here even though I have a comp. 4 years later and I love getting in and driving this beast. Definitely the best car I’ve owned and a sure keeper. It’s still exciting to see another M2 in the road. I give chase 🤣🤣

M2's with 80k plus miles on them go for 17k and less in Japan wholesale. Mine was a legit one-owner from new with books and had driven most of its life on the highways here. I found out it was going through auction and, if you can believe me, she sold for $13,000 at USS before the third party got her to me at $16,500 all in with roadworthy. I have her auction photos as proof. Never been crashed, documented mileage and books to back it all up. Japan is really crazy like that. I might just have to become the local M2 guru in Tokyo if these cars keep popping up at these prices... Japanese people literally poop their pantaloons when their Euro is out of warranty and over 80k miles, so that's good for me! |

A business model must exist somewhere importing late model Japanese M cars to lenient countries.
