Personally I don't think it is worth it imo.

Maybe worth it for funky blue colour though
Race oil is not meant for street use because it lacks oxidation resistance to enable it to last for long periods of time. Literally some race oils are meant for a couple of track days or maybe a few months of use (and that's probably pushing it) before being flushed.

Sorry not race, I meant this stuff:

MOTUL Gear Competition 75W140 LSD 1L 100% Synthetic Transmission Oil 105779

Other have discussed, but do you think it's not suitable for street use?

No that should be ok for street use. It specifies manufacturer recommend OCI as well, so it isn't completely track only.

Probably the same with mine coz I did the oil first then those 2. I guess I should drive it around again after the oil, set it back on the lifter again for the diff and tranny. That way it's nice and hot for a more complete drain. Just too lazy to bring it down, drive and reset it back on the lifter again.

Nice!

That's really grey for 650km despite it being break in. You might have to flush a second time after 1200km or 2000km just to be safe.

How'd you code out the diff? And how do you like the feel vs. stock?

Yup that's true. It would allow for a laminar flow as well instead of the glugging.

I will do another flush next weekend.

The coding was done for me by a friend, the feeling is impressive, one of the best mods.

Curious why you’re changing it so much? Is that 300km on track?

Yeah, I see that… I just curious what your hoping to accomplish. From my professional experience, 1 break in change is enough to flush any significant break-in wear metals and assembly contamination out of the system.

Does the CSR/Drexler require multiple changes?

Do you think after the first change everything is clean? I think not and since the oil costs me 18e I don't mind doing one more flush.

Directionally, the cleaner the oil, the longer your bearings will live and the slower the oil will oxidize in service. In durability testing I have conducted professionally, the oil is never really "clean" after it goes in the gearbox. Even after you break in the product, and change the oil. There seems to always be some minimum level of contamination that sticks around. Fortunately, the bearings and oil change intervals are typically designed for long life in whatever the manufacturer considers normal operation conditions (temp, loads, speeds, contamination levels) with specified statistical reliability.

Looks OK visually, assume the oil was blue when it went in?

Have you sent it away for analysis?

And why the neck don't you take out the fill plug first to get a smooth drain?

It's alot better, there's actually some color in it now. It probably needs one more flush to be perfect. I'd probably do it after 1,000km for this one.

Personally I don't trust BMWs fluid lifetime intervals. Bmw says coolant is life time, pentosin says it's more like 4-5 years. Bmw said mtf is lifetime, ZF who makes the gearbox says it's like 4 years.

I don't plan to analyze it.
